China's high-speed trains reach speeds of 350 kilometers per hour

Beijing to Wuhan used to take over 10 hours not long ago, now it takes 3 hours 48 minutes after this speed upgrade.

.
This is a big improvement from the previous 300KM per hour speed which already impressed many

The U.S. ambassador to China Nicholas Burns said he was impressed by China’s Fuxing bullet train during his visit to Wuhan from Beijing on Sunday.

Burns posted a photo on Twitter in which he sits by the window of the train when the train arrived in central China’s Henan, saying “Just crossed the Yellow River in Henan at the rapid clip of 308/km per hour on this impressive 复兴号 train. Destination #Wuhan.”

Unbelievable Business class train ride in China for $14 | China railway system experience

Actually he doesn't have to be that impressed by this price , Beijing-Tianjin high speed railway train only costs $6

To be honest I'd be too afraid to travel at 350KM/Hr in a train, I am sure its quite safe since China is running them for so long without any mishap but imagine a collision or derailment at that speed.

You actually don't feel the speed on the train, the rides are very smooth and passangers often stand coins on the trains for fun. But I can understand how you feel when look at this 350km per hour number, I m a defensive driver, when driving, I almost never go over 160km per hour.

Oh shyt!! 160KM is too much for me I drive a big *** 5.7 liters 4X4 SUV and my top speed is 100KM max.

BTW the smoothness is amazing, especially at 350KM/h

Sour grape loser Indians. By the way, When will your much prided first high speed rail to be build by Japanese be ready, in 2030 ?
2050.

Slow train doesn't mean safe train.

I mean that's almost like a speed record I did, I usually just drive 120km on highway otherwise I'll be speeding.

Once I tried to race a bullet train traveling next to me when I was driving on a highway, I didn't a pedal to the metal but the train just whizzed past me like I was not moving at all.

Again? US trains and subways are plagued with accidents.

I once rode the TGV in France that goes up to 300km/hour.

Apart from vehicles on motorway looking like they are standing still as you zoom past them it felt like being on a plane and not moving at all - so smooth.

You get used to it very quickly. Which is why when you exit the motorway after 120 and drive at 60 you feel like meh.
