China’s action like Pol Pot’s, says Dalai Lama

From the master of slave owner to lecture China, how rich

Tibet and India will decide the border. China has no locus standi in this matter.

Really, China can have a special arrangement with Assamese people for the border settlement and you really think that India matter?

Sure China can hang-out with all the banned terror organizations in the world from ULFA to LeT to JeM.

There was a time when I thought Chinese were wise and would take the hand of friendship that India had extended.

Indians have lost all faith in working with the Chinese. The only thing that China has not yet done was to declare war on India on flimsy reason. I can see that day is not far away.

Whatever it may be . I see Chinese have clearly squandered all the gains of 20 rounds of Indo-Chinese border talks spanning across 2 decades.

Settling the border would have allowed India to be a regional power while China attaining Global power status. But Chinese have chosen to be greedy and have pulled out all the stops to thwart Indian ambitions.

Chinese have done this will ill towards India and will pay a huge price for these misdeeds.

Wait a minute, you and I don't know the detail of what drag the border settlement for so long since both of us are not on the negotiation table and it's unfair to accuse China to be greedy.

Nothing to do with China education. I get pissed off by this Buddha from India BS. Its ok if you say the location is in modern India(from their land grabbing) but it is not spread from India as there is no ancient India. I am not saying India is bad or Indians are not talented. We got a lot of them in Singapore and our local born Indians detest them for their obnoxious behavior. All the more you should be ashamed instead of bragging and boasting considering what you have achieved with the great number of Indian talents. Hinduism did spread seawards to South Asia and up to Indonesia, but not to East Asia. It did not cross the Himalayas. Buddha is not a typical Bharat as can be seen from his portrait. I don't think the people populating ancient Bodh Gaya are Bharats. In Chinese folklore, they have "Journey to the West". No such thing as "Journey to India", or "Journey to Bharat".
So, Buddha achieved enlightenment not in India, but at a location that is included in modern India. Chinese never BS that Lord Shiva is Chinese because Mount Kailash is in modern day China.

Buddhism is spread by 1 person. He is the Buddha and he is not an Indian nor Mauryan. He is a Shakyan, located in modern Nepal, and he is a Mongoloid, not Bharat. Anyway I am not a Buddhist nor an expert on Buddhism. You need to come out with facts and not Hindu hearsay to convince me otherwise. In fact I hear all this from a Sikh friend many years ago. I did not believe him when I 1st heard from him because I had known your version of the Buddha like some 50 years. I am convinced after doing some research on the Internet. Issues like this are difficult to resolve and its best we agree to disagree. Thks & see ya soon in another thread.

Shakyan is Greek/Indo-Greek people or outsiders from west in Buddhist and Ancient Indian literature- Lumbini the birth place of Buddha is stone throw away distance from India- and Its inhabitants are Indian people- most of the plains in Nepal is occupied by Indian people- And I would suggest you to see the paintings of Buddha in ancient caves rather than some internet fan boy creation-

This is prince Siddharta painted in ancient times-

Not Mauryan.

Buddhism was spread to Afghan and China along Silk Road by Central Asians. Those people are Tocharians, aka Kushan. They ruled northern Indian subcontinent and part of Central Asia during that time.

How ancient? is it more ancient than this
Sakyamuni Buddha.jpg

Like I said this is going nowhere. Not easy to prove. That's why I am not trying to convince you, but state my point and move on. Thanks anyway for your further info on the Buddha.

This doesn't look ancient- more like a modern sketch- Ancient times people painted in caves- All existing Buddhist paintings are in caves- like the one I showed above-

Most of Buddhist texts were destroyed in Islamic invasions- the library of Nalanda was burnt down- so I doubt the claim of this photo being ancient unless British took the whole mountain to London-

Emperor Ashok himself sent his Son and daughter as ambassador to spread Buddhism-

As a Buddhist emperor, Ashoka believed that Buddhism is beneficial for all human beings as well as animals and plants, so he built a number of stupas, Sangharama, viharas, chaitya, and residences for Buddhist monks all over South Asia and Central Asia. According to the Ashokavadana, he ordered the construction of 84,000 stupas to house the Buddhas relics. In the Aryamanjusrimulakalpa, Ashoka takes offerings to each of these stupas traveling in a chariot adorned with precious metals. He gave donations to viharas and mathas. He sent his only daughter Sanghamitra and son Mahindra to spread Buddhism in Sri Lanka (then known as Tamraparni). Ashoka also sent many prominent Buddhist monks (bhikshus) Sthaviras like Madhyamik Sthavira to modern Kashmir and Afghanistan; Maharaskshit Sthavira to Syria, Persia / Iran, Egypt, Greece, Italy and Turkey; Massim Sthavira to Nepal, Bhutan, China and Mongolia; Sohn Uttar Sthavira to modern Cambodia, Laos, Burma (old name Suvarnabhumi for Burma and Thailand), Thailand and Vietnam; Mahadhhamarakhhita stahvira to Maharashtra (old name Maharatthha); Maharakhhit Sthavira and Yavandhammarakhhita Sthavira to South India.

Kushan period can be called the Golden age for Buddism in India-

Ashoka's son went to Sri Lanka, not Central Asia/China.

Even Greco-Bactrian kingdoms patronized Buddhism during that era.

It was because of Ashoka that Buddhism spread to far off lands- Many people didn't even know Buddhism in most part of India- apart from Hinduism, Jainism was most popular religion those days-

Yes after Ashoka many countries spread Buddhism-
