True, One comes to China and see how Chinese developed on the ground would believe Chinese official figure is an understatement, China doesn't want much attention, some say the "hidden wealth" in China can be as big as her real GDP.https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...e-unreliable-top-leader-idUSTRE6B527D20101206
Even Li Keqiang doesn’t believe the numbers from his own country.
interesting what you shared (from 2010 but a good reminder anyway) but China's gdp growth in 2019 is 6% which is the slowest in the last 3 decades, why do you think they would make up a number like that?https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...e-unreliable-top-leader-idUSTRE6B527D20101206

The only hyped up GDP is US's, US GDP is just bloated by their stock market and value of US dollars, China is the world biggest trading nation, industrial nation, manufacturing nation, produces and consumes almost half of the world raw materials, produce world's most electricity and almost all industrial products, how come US still has a bigger GDP than China? without the stock market and dollar dominance, US GDP will just become a fraction of China's overnight.Read Michael Pettis to see how China comes up with these GDP numbers. They come up with a GDP target and local governments go into debts to hit that GDP number. The level of debt in China is staggering. It’s a giant Ponzi scheme.

If we are a paper tiger, then why is US so worried? Lolol.
