Hello, PDF...

I have came out of retirement to share with you about a chinaposter who is very "passionate" & perhaps unhealthily "obsessed" w/ Pakistan Defence Forum.

This chinamember has used PDF for 12.5 Hours straight!!! Actually approximately 17.5 Hours (but there was a solitary single 4 Hour Break in-between)!!!

Yes, this poster posted on PDF ONLY on the specific day (Wednesday 1/20/2021 according to my US time Zone):
--- Posted every about 5-15 minutes for allotted throughout the 12.5 Hours shift!!!
--- This includes 183+ Photos of Chinese military, schools, Uyghur girls, etc. (according to my rough counting)!!!
--- Countless amounts of Threads w/ ridiculously long lines of penmanship
All this went on for 12.5 hours in a SINGLE DAY!!!

I hope this poster has a job because they have spent over HALF of their Wednesday (or Thursday in china timezone), which I am sure is a part of the workweek in the country of china. There doesn't seem to be any coinciding holiday in china that would warrant such kaput behavior of spending 12.5 hours in PDF posting tremendous amounts of Posts, Threads, 8 You-Tube Videos and over 183+ HD Photos of unusual stuff in a Single-day... Maybe they were very excited for US Presidential Inauguration Day which falls on 1/20/2021!!!

I have attached (or at least tried to), every single post that was indeed posted in the aforementioned time period. Yes, I know, this is ridiculously long!!

Let me know what the hell is going on!

Explained: How TikTok has more users than Instagram in India despite the ban
TikTok despite the ban saw more monthly active users on the platform than the social networking platform Instagram.

TikTok |Video-sharing social networking app is owned by ByteDance. The platform is used to make short videos of 3 seconds to 1 minute duration. TikTok is hoping to make a comeback in India, after getting banned for months now. (Image: Reuters)

The short video sharing platform TikTok was banned in India on June 29 in 2020, yet the platform is being accessed by many Indians.

The proof of this is data shared by SimilarWeb, an online portal that provides web analytics service. In its report titled Digital Trends – India, December 2020, TikTok despite the ban saw more monthly active users on the platform than the social networking platform Instagram.

TikTok which saw a big spike after coronavirus-led lockdown between March and June last year saw a significant drop in July. However, the platform saw an increase in monthly active app users between August and October.

So, how was the platform accessible despite the ban?

Utkarsh Sinha, MD, Bexley Advisors, a boutique investment bank focused on early-stage deals in tech and media said that the immediate ban was for new installs. New users could not download TikTok and if anybody had deleted the app could not re-install it. However, those who have the app can still access the platform," he said.

"People who have been showcasing their talent on Tik Tok are finding alternate ways to download the app. It can still be downloaded from various websites, which provide the .apk file (this file format allows installation from sources other than trusted ones), said Pulkit Sharma, co-founder and CEO, Khabri, a digital audio platform.

Then there is the possibility of the use of a Virtual Private Network (VPN).

Janice Verghese, a cyber lawyer who works with a cybersecurity think tank, Cyber Peace Foundation, explained that the use of VPNs allow users to bypass the ban and still access the content.

"Unlike earlier, people know more about VPNs. A simple search will tell you ways to use," she added. This is further made easy by the easy availability of free apps that help users set up VPNs, she added.

This is the most common way to access blocked sites, Verghese added.

Adding to this, Kavita Shenoy, an ex-Google employee, who is now the founder and CEO of Voiro pointed out, "From a web browser perspective I can figure out the geography from where a user is accessing a platform and shut that off but from an app perspective once you have downloaded it, it is difficult to stop the access."

It is the FOMO effect

But why use a site which is banned?

Gautam Madhavan, Founder, and CEO, MAD Influence, an influencer marketing company, explained that Indian content recently saw strong traction from international markets.

"TikTok is a global platform. It is accessible outside India in countries like Dubai, Nepal, Sri Lanka where Indian content is very much preferred. In fact, followers increased for many influencers who were not able to use the app after the ban. While influencers/content creators were not even creating content on the app, they were getting followers from international markets," Madhavan added.

Shenoy pointed out another reason why Indians continued the use of TikTok after the ban. TikTok users needed an alternative platform. However, content creation from scratch would have resulted in losing followers. Hence, Shenoy said that many TikTok users migrated to Reels, a short video sharing feature on Instagram. "A lot of TikTok users lost revenue because of the ban. But with Reels having many features in place, TikTok users had an alternative. Hence, the activity on TikTok you see post the ban is also because of content migration," said Shenoy.

Adding to this, Madhavan said that Reels benefitted the most after TikTok was banned because Instagram is a known platform. "On the other hand, short video sharing platforms like MX TakaTak, Moj had to start from scratch," he said.

Now, Shenoy is curious to know whether TikTok will continue to have a similar number of users it had during the period between August to October last year when despite the ban TikTok had more monthly active app users than Instagram.

"New trends were out after October, there were shopping festivals which means a lot of brand activities for influencers. Also, the festive period. So, many tent-pole events for influencers. At that point in time, TikTok may not have seen much traction."

An Indian calling a "Pakistani" for help, Lol, something fishy going on here indeed.
Lol, Ok , maybe the OP article is about what you claims, but it doesn't mention China much. but it's ok, everyone can have their own take on this article.
India banned hundreds of Chinese social media and APPs and believes that can hurt China, but China doesn't really care.

The map has been drawn up by insurance website MoneyBeach.co.uk, which used the Google data to establish the average monthly search volume in each country for terms associated with ordering a takeaway.

It says that the most-searched-for takeaway choice was then used as the top takeout cuisine for the country.

Regarding top-ranked pizza, it says: 'Pizza, a beloved comfort food and choice that offers something for everyone, with meat feasts and pineapple toppings to multiple vegan options, proved a clear favourite for everywhere from France to Barbados, and of course the home of pizza, Italy.'

In fourth place is fish and chips, top in six countries, including Canada, while fifth is fried chicken, with Cambodia among the five countries where it is most-searched-for.

Population of China since 1960 in millions
微信图片_20201217210448.png

Mao came to power in 1949, died in 1976, in power for 27 years, in 1949 China's population was 400 million, in 1976, the nubmber increased to 800 million. China's population more than doubled during Mao's 27 years in power.

This huge increase of population in such a short span of time was unprecedented in the Chinese history, Mao brought the end to China's 100 years wars and humiliations by the foreign powers, created a peaceful and stable time era and made the ground for the population growth, before Mao, the Chinese population had been stagnant for centuries due to incessant wars, famines, natural disasters, plagues and mismanagements.
Declassified CIA documents show that wide spread malnutrition happened in early 1960's but no large scale famine in China.

Western media propaganda is a lie even being debunked by their own old documents and records.

China attracts flood of foreign direct investment amid Covid-19 pandemic

Foreign direct investment (FDI) in China hit a record $144.37 billion in 2020, as the world’s second-largest economy keeps on recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic, according to China’s Ministry of Commerce.
The latest data released by the ministry shows that FDI saw a 4.5-percent year-on-year growth in dollar terms, and a 6.2-percent increase when expressed in yuan.

Foreign inflows into the country’s service industry advanced 13.9 percent year on year, totaling $112 billion and accounting for nearly 80 percent of the entire FDI portfolio. Meanwhile, foreign investment in the advanced-technology industry expanded by 11.4 percent year on year, and high-tech service sector investments rose by 28.5 percent.

The ministry stressed that the latest figures show China has managed to emerge from Covid-19 and meet its target of stabilizing foreign investment in 2020, bucking the downward trend in global foreign investment.

Foreign investments from the top-15 FDI countries and regions grew by 6.4 percent, and took 98 percent of the total FDI to the Chinese mainland. Financial inflows from the Netherlands and the UK advanced 47.6 percent and 30.7 percent respectively. At the same time, investments by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations increased by 0.7 percent.

Kashgar, Xinjiang, is a very earthquake active region, houses in Kashgar old town are beautiful with over 1000 years long history but those mainly adobe mud houses can't withstand even minor earthquakes.
Local Uighur people refuse to move to the earthquake resistant new houses built by the government in the suburbs cause they have lived in those old house for generations. See how Chinese architects' inspirational way to deal with this issue.

So why there is a so called " Tibet exile government"? and my original quesiton is any leaders in this "exile government" were actually born in China?

But how Americans citizens who have never been to China become Chinese refugees? it doesn't make any sense, they are Americans or Chinese.
Because the locals are not willing to relocate for different reasons, the old town houses were rebuilt on the same spots, new reinforced concrete houses are earthquake proof , able to withstand 8.5 Richter scale earthquakes, hooked up with all modern facilities like running water, sewer, sanitation and garbage treatment facilities, electricity , gas and internet cables.

China’s 2020 GDP means it will overtake U.S. as world’s No. 1 economy in 2026, sooner than expected

January 18, 2021 6:00 PM GMT+8

China's standout economic growth in 2020's pandemic-battered global economy has led analysts to update their forecasts for when China will overtake the U.S. as the world's largest economy to as early as 2026.

On Monday, China reported a year-on-year increase of 6.5% for the fourth quarter of 2020 and a 2.3% increase for all of 2020, surpassing analysts' forecasts and making China the the only major economy to log positive growth in 2020.

Nomura Holdings had estimated China's economy would surpass the U.S.'s in 2030, but China's economic performance in 2020 caused the firm to shorten that timeline to 2028, extrapolating from International Monetary Fund projections, or to as early as 2026 if renminbi appreciation continues.

The pandemic "dealt a much larger blow to the U.S. economy than to China's economy," the Nomura report said. "Time will tell, but in our view there is a high likelihood that 2026 will be the milestone at which China re-emerges as the world's largest economy."

View attachment 709155

Nomura's estimate, like other analysts' projections, measures when China will overtake the U.S. in market exchange rates. Economists use gross domestic product to measure the size of a country's economy, and there are two ways to compare GDP figures: by using purchasing power parity (PPP), which compares the prices of goods in each country (the Big Mac Index, for example) or by using market exchange rates to convert a country's nominal GDP in its own currency to a common one, in most cases the U.S. dollar.

In PPP terms, China's GDP overtook the U.S.'s in 2017, according to Nomura, but using market exchange rates rather than PPP to compare economies is "a logical choice when financial flows are involved."

The Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR), a U.K.-based think tank, similarly revised its estimate for when the Chinese economy would surpass the U.S. A late December report from CEBR said China GDP would eclipse U.S. GDP for the first time in 2028—five years earlier than the firm's previous estimate—and said the pandemic prompted the revision.

"For some time, an overarching theme of global economics has been the economic and soft power struggle between the United States and China," the CEBR report said. "The COVID-19 pandemic and corresponding economic fallout have certainly tipped this rivalry in China's favor."

While China's domestic economy rebounds, other major economies, like the U.S., are struggling to control the spread of the coronavirus and return to pre-pandemic economic growth.

China's GDP will grow 5.7% per year until 2025, followed by 4.5% annually until 2030, CEBR estimates, while the U.S. economy will grow 1.9% per year from 2022 to 2024 and then 1.6% per year "for the rest of the forecast horizon."

Oxford Economics changed its prediction for when China's economy will overtake the U.S.'s from 2030 to 2029 because of the pandemic. "China has coped with the pandemic better than the U.S.," said Louis Kujis, head of Asia economics at Oxford Economics.

Bruce Pang, head of macro and strategy research at China Renaissance, has a slightly longer timetable for the cross-over, but he also shortened his estimate because of the pandemic. Pang says it will be "ten years or longer" before China overtakes the U.S. as the world's largest economy. Before the pandemic, Pang says, he had estimated it would take around 15 years.

"While the global backdrop continues to be uncertain and other hard-hit economies are still a long way off from returning to pre-pandemic growth levels," said Pang, "we think China will act as the primary engine and vital stabilizer of the global economy."

Yifan Zhang, an associate professor of economics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, didn't have an exact guess for the year China's economy will become the world's biggest. "Whether it's 2026 or 2028 or 2030 matters less," Zhang said. "On the day when China becomes the largest economy again, it signals there's a shift of power between the East and West."

Well said, a couple of years don't matter much to China, we always play a long game.
A very nice new hospital..but would any doctors go to those mountains to work?
China is not in a hurry, she overtakes US one thing at a time and in the end will only leave US the world No.1 in printing dollars.
Hopefully every Chinese province will become Guangdong in the near future.

Looking at the long term demographic US will become a Hispanic predominant country and then break up into many smaller states, US doesn't have cohesive blood and cultural bond that Chinese people hold for thousands of years.

Hong Kong, Singapore and Macau have much higher GDP per capita than Korea and Japan, but we are not comparing with them cause this topic is about a country's overall economy, you Indians don't like to see this and try to discredit China, don't pretend that you are not coming to this thread to do this. Sour grape, look at yourself first before discrediting others.

Most law enforcement officers are Uighurs in Xinjiang, a great many of PLA troops are Uighurs in Xinjiang, they are all heavily armed with all weapons, why not a single Uighur police officer or soldier turned their guns to the Chinese government since this government is doing unspeakable autrocities to them as you claimed.

It's very concerning and obvious... I have brought forth a huge amount of evidence, hopefully it doesn't get brushed under the rug. I would like answer from the poster himself. What motivates this gentleman to post for 12~ hours w/ these specific types of unusual posts.

Personally, the absolute MAXIMUM I can spend doing ONE single hobby is the entire 6.5 hour average length of an EXCITING & THRILLING ODI cricket match of my own country Pakistan, which are broadcasted in 3 or 4 bundles sporadically every few months.

What motivates this person to spend 12 hours, or even 10 hours (5 or 6 days a week) [for several years] of their precious Free-Time, Hobby-Time, Leisure-Time on a FOREIGN Defence Forum posting unusual, eerie, synthetic posts.

. .
Look idk if @beijingwalker is hired by the state to post here or if he is an avid fan of PDF but his content is within forum rules and his behaviour is excellent. I don't think I've ever seen him be rude or abusive.
Aggressive Spam + Synthetic posting doesn't sound like within forum rules. But I am NOT questioning any Forum Rules AT ALL!! I just want to know his motivation & purpose for the unnatural usage of this website.
