China to invest $20 billion in India in next years, much less than Japan's offer of $35 billion

If so, why Chinese media didnot react? It's not like Chinese media never reacts to the Indian media right...

The Chinese media always quoted the foreign media, but never gave its own comments until the official confirmation.

This is the fundamental difference between the prudent Chinese media and the foreign media with big mouth.

This is not aid but investment. Aid is something which you don't have to return. While India will have to share the profit from these projects with the country that is investing in that.

Even Aid is nothing but a soft loan. There are no free meals.

In any case I meant it will aid develop our infrastructure. The rate of return from the investment will be decided by India.

You really need to know how to differentiate between aid, soft loan, and investment.

FOREIGN AID: assistance (as economic aid) provided by one nation to another. Basically giving away money for nothing in return.
Like American aid to countries help them against the so called war on terror.

Soft Loan: Financing that offers flexible or lenient terms for repayment, usually at lower than market interest rates. Soft loans are provided customarily by government agencies and not by financial institutions. Also called concessional funding.

Investment: The action or process of investing money for profit.
