China: The world's cleverest country?

That was a Vietnamese person who said that, from the movie "Full Metal Jacket".

On the other hand, the only relatively popular Western film based on India... is "Slum*** millionaire" by Danny Boyle. :cheesy:

Jai ho was the most popular phrase of that movie. what's your point

N
you should be proud of the amount of massage specialists you graduate in every neighborhood and being the largest consumer of red colored bulbs. And being the proud owners of the iconic phrase ... Me love u long time.
It does not make any sense to continue this topic with you. I have lots of well educated Indian friends here and I have been to India for weeks stay. I respect India and its people, and dont wanna be offensive to any of my Indian friends because of YOU.

give respect to get respect

Next time you may not want to debate a topic where it shows you can take Chinese and plop him in any country yet he thinks he is clever proclaiming they are the cleverest. How freaking clever are you when you own govt treats you like idiots who are not capable of reading diverse opinions, thoughts and it needs to censor such from its populous? Parents keep certain topics away from kids because they are too immature not because they are cleverest ! Mr. I am blogger on the net hence I claim to be a journalist :) how very clever of you...

The article that this thread was based on, was written by the BBC.

It was not written by us.

Go and complain to them, I will even support you in this.

nothing to complain about. as others have pointed out, cramming for tests doesn't help in work environment. this is a bad habit among indian and chinese students and must be discouraged.

one of the most popular films (on this issue) in recent times, 3 idiots was a huge hit in India, and from what I've heard was watched by many in China and Taiwan

I gotto say some of the insults being exchanged here are pretty ingenious:lol:

Chinese are indeed very industrious and smart. But Indians are no different, what we lack is proper support from the government and infrastructure.

You should be proud of making curry smell all over the neighborhood, man.:pop:

LOL, that’s still the “romantic” version.

…wait until they start floating their corpses in your nearest rivers alongwith their household garbage before taking No.1 dumps at every street corner just like their cousins in India do, daily.

as opposed chinese eating pills made from aborted females foetus ? or veggies infused with formaldehyde?

mud-slinging goes both ways, and to no end. kindly keep things civil

Thank heavens they do not do this in Hong Kong, is all I can say.

By one measure, I think it is fair to say that "China is the world's cleverest country."

No other populous country in the history of the world has grown as fast (e.g. 10% economic growth for 30 years) and industrialized as quickly as China (e.g. you try sending a spaceman into orbit in 2003 while a developing country or building a 3.3-megaton thermonuclear bomb in 1967 with stone-age technology).

Hence, we can only conclude Chinese are among the world's cleverest people.

Another exceptional measure buddy which is unparalleled in the world.

I cannot think of any other foreign culinary which employs so many cooking methods like us: steaming, baking in wok, baking with tea leaves, baking with salt, baking with clay, baking / steaming with lotus leaves, braising, stir-frying, deep-frying, smoking, boiling, stewing, roasting/broiling and then the vibrant births of any combination of the above methods!

OMG, every word that I type above have the effect of an immediate menu pic of at least one delicious Chinsee dish appearing in front of me!
