Go read the news then. India joined the Quad to contain China. India was actively working against China in the South China Sea. India was working with the US to block Chinese technology including 5G. India gives support to Tibetan secessionists. India supports to Uegur secessionists. India give its support to HK protesters(before India was rocked by protests itself). India was protesting OBOR projects of its neighbors.

So basically, even before Chinese troops moved in, India has already taken positions against China on pretty much every issue China cared about. Ever wonder why Indian response was some weak shit about banning Chinese apps? It's because it is already so against China that it has nothing left to hit back with.

To China, Modi's India is just Americans poodle. Attacking Chinese core interests to improve relationship with the west.
