Good analysis buddy..I agree with you 100% except the part where you said they were economic amateurs No, mate they are mature corrupt and economic hitmen and they knew exactly what they were doing what harms it will do to the economy.
That's giving them too much credit. They're idiots.

Xi has definitely called for closer collaboration. But what exactly does he mean by that is what Pakistanis need to ask. This is not a troll comment. I am just trying to expand upon the areas where you are currently engaged.

Let's get the elephant out of the room first. CPEC. It is by far your biggest joint project yet. China has developed your inter-modal system of transferring cargo from Gwadar to Qashgar and further into China. So there are some questions I have for Pakistani members here:

  1. What are the broader trade and export benefits for Pakistan in the entire gamut of things here?
  2. Is there a study being done to examine the net impact of trade of commodities from Pakistan to the rest of the world, other than China? Example: South Africa, Nigeria, Oman etc?
  3. Most of the traders in the northern Pakistan region have been running out of business due to severe competition from Chinese factories in producing the same goods as they do, more in quantity and machine-built quality. How does GOP plan to address the woes of these traders? https://profit.pakistantoday.com.pk...llions-in-tax-exemption-to-chinese-companies/
  4. What products are the Chinese interested to make in Pakistan? It could be machinery, tools etc. But is there any concrete offer of setting up local factories in consumer goods?

The infrastructure developed by China is excellent. But how does Pakistan plan to use the CPEC to its own advantage? No doubt that it is a win-win for China. But does Pakistan have a long term industrial development plan along the CPEC network?

Why do you suppose that his closer cooperation statement has something to do with CPEC? Sino-Pak relations are bigger and beyond CPEC. Your questions have already been answered in Ishrat Hussain's opeds and by Arif Rafiq in CPECWIRE.

Don't want to prejudge but your questions are convoluted, and hence trollish.

The major Chinese investment as of now is in energy projects not roads.
Even majority of power projects which China is investing in Pakistan are those which China is closing them in thier country as promised at climate summit ,those equipment are being moved to Pakistan.

We never had coal in our energy mix.. so its ok for us to have some for cheap electricity.. mutually beneficial.

Mate! can you explain how an idiot can rule a country for thirty years, become a billionaire and nobody is able to discover his corruption for so many years....:crazy::hitwall:

Because they were elected (sham) by idiots? Being an idiot is the result of incompetence at all levels of society and state.
