The ship fleet of the Chinese Fishery Administration stood its ground in the Diaoyu Islands frontline to protect Chinese fishermen and safeguard their rights during the period of Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day of the People's Republic of China (PRC) from September 30 to October 7, 2012. The Chinese Marine Surveillance ships were also patrolling the waters off the Diaoyu Islands to safeguard China's rights.
Japan is not accustomed to this. While putting on unjustifiable interference and protest, Japan even acted as if it were the aggrieved party. Nevertheless, what purpose could Japan's various performances serve except for letting out the self-boredom inside itself? It's perfectly normal for the ship fleet of the Chinese Fishery Administration to protect Chinese fishermen and safeguard their rights in the waters off the Diaoyu Islands, and for the Chinese Marine Surveillance ships to patrol the waters off the Diaoyu Islands to safeguard Chinas rights. The reason is very simple: the Diaoyu Islands and its subsidiary islands are part of China's inherent territory. The Chinese Fishery Administration has normalized the fishery-protection patrol in the waters near the Diaoyu Islands and its subsidiary islands since as early as 2010. Not only will the ship fleet of the Chinese Fishery Administration continue to stand its ground, but the Chinese Marine Surveillance ships will also stand their ground.
China needs to stand its ground in this manner. Otherwise, China's territorial sovereignty and legitimate right and interest could never be truly maintained, and Chinese people wouldn't be able to celebrate the festive season securely and happily.
