China may be developing a VTOL fighter in the near future

According to AVIC, a contract between two departments of AVIC was signed on the 20th of March regarding to the development of a VTOL purpose engine. Although not directly, such event suggest that China may be developing a VTOL fighter in the near future (if not already).

The website said Short take off and vertical landing, (STOVL) not VTOL

What it basically said is that AVIC have enter into developement contract with Chinese Aerospace Engine Development have sign into undertaking of a project for aeroengine designed for Short Take Off Verticle Landing aircraft for use in fexible Navy.

Well, thats the rough translation...
