LOL! Yes, your cities are in complete lockdown due to Covid and nobody can work since March. So even though Elon Musk can get his Shanghai factory back in order he is unfortunately reliant on made-in-China suppliers for parts...and these companies have let him down. Yes good 'ole dependable China!

Because all their manufacturing plants are not in Shanghai so they are not affected by complete lockdowns...unless you want to admit there are more lockdowns in other Chinese cities...but hidden from the Press.

You seem to think Tesla is like Chinese companies that have hundreds of cars on lots waiting to be sold. In actuality due to demand almost every car that comes out of the Shanghai plant has a specific owner tied to it and is delivered immediately (whether it be in China or some other place like the middle east). So if the plant stops making cars there are almost no car sales/deliveries since Tesla doesn't maintain much inventory.

Giga Shanghai was shutdown for practically all of April due to Chinas Covid lockdowns. As a result, their numbers would drop significantly. No real surprise here.

Once again, Tesla only has one factory in China. Giga Shanghai was shutdown for all of April. When you shutdown a factory like this your production and deliveries are going to collapse. This must be difficult for you to understand.

And I don't know what BYD has to do with Tesla being forced to shutdown its ONE factory in China.

Tesla is the globally dominant EV company and its not even close. There are now 2 factories open in the US, one in China, and one in Germany. There is no competition for Tesla.

The difference is that BYD have factory in other part of China while Tesla doesn't (and only one in Shanghai for China).

However, people that wants to buy Tesla can/will do so when Shanghai reopens.
