What's new

China local brands brace for onslaught from abroad

Indian jealousy making them angry.

They cannot keep up in military technology, and they cannot keep up in civilian technology, and they cannot even keep up in services - the top 5 fastest growing software companies in Asia are all Chinese and so is the established top 3. they just can't keep up.

LOL if a country is more advance than us then when they critised our products they are right we should take note and try to improve the products, but if that country is backward compare to us when they laughed at our products they basicly need to check in to a mental hospictal as soon as possible:rofl:

Because you don't know anything.

Lots of heavy sedans are built on truck chassis. Obama's limousine comes to mind.

If L7 comes in a bullet-proof version, then the traditional unibody shell can't handle the weight increase; thus it makes sense to build it on a truck chassis.

By your logic. All vehicle of the world base the tech of HenryFord.

You can say L7 ues Boeing 787 chassis. They also have a cooperation with Boeing.

So what I had said ? More do than talk.

FAW invest $ 1.6 billion in one of their brands.

When you critical of others, did you thought what about yourself?

Did India auto manufacturer dare to invest R&D in Sedan that can compete with Audi A6L.

"Redflag again has chassis from Toyota Prado "

Is it a joke? A car use chassis from SUV ?

Sorry .... I can't stop.....

Ok, Redflag did had cooperation with Toyota, but that was 2005.... Wake up man.....It is 2012 now.
What I have show you the RedflagL7 is from L Platform of FAW which totally indigenous.
Please research more before writing.

And may be you should open you mind, It is globalization age today , you can't avoid used some components from different countries, if you want competitiveness.

Yes ...Look at your post #21 , and what we find.. Indica? Bolero? I only can say India auto market competition is really fierce.

India can produce these cheap and ugly cars.
but China different
China indigenous brands are in competition with all of the worldwide giants in the high-end vehicle combat, they have to, because small cars accounted for only a small part of China auto market
.

I showed you in post #21 your indigenous car standing even within China - how it fares with other JVs. The first one comes in at 16th position and that one too is mired in design controversies.

I suggest you look up how many of your cars have European penetration where the safety/emission standards are very high.

At the same time, we have 4 cars holding up against the pure foreign cars/JVs in the top 15 in Indian markets where it is open fight.

At the same time look up for Scorpio and Indica - look up for these vehicles and their markets including Europe.

And look for Nano though it is early to say about its success, it has won awards like Good Design award for its design.

Compared to indigenous Chinese cars, these ugly Indian cars will beat you hands down in terms of engineering as shown by our cars' ability to get into European markets.

At this point I get the feeling our discussions are going no where.

Peace Mate.

I know someone would post this.

Here is the difference for you when it comes to military technology and car manufacturing.

Military technology - Chinese communist govt. weapons manufacturing companies vs Indian govt. old socialist relic manufacturing companies(Private players in India is very limited for military technology) - low quality military ware manufacturers vs military ware manufacturers who can't manufacture anything on their own(and so is all the deals with Russian/Israeli companies)

Automobile - Major Chinese govt. automobile manufacturers in JVs with foreign car companies(due to the Chinese govt. wanting to promote technology) (your private players are very limited) vs entrepreneurial and confident Indian private companies, JVs and 100% foreign car companies(you do not have this in China)

Do you understand the difference?

Prove it.

Chinese airlines (in general, not Chinese Airlines the company; that's still a dangerous company) were thought of unsafe until statistics showed they were the safest in the world.

There is not a SINGLE product that India has higher quality of than China.

For the first higlighted item, I am going to throw the question back at you - prove me wrong with links and articles. I am open to be proven wrong and I would have learnt of something new.

For the second highlighted, when you generalize, it shows your confidence in Indian products. But let me assure you, the feeling is mutual as my experience of yesterday night will tell you - My wife and myself had gone out for shopping and came back and I asked her to prepare something quick. She took out frozen Chappati packet to warm it up and serve me when she read the wordings in the packet "Product of China" . The brand is a famous Indian food brand - "SWAD". I asked her to dump it and prepare some rice for me.

If you think I am kidding - here is a picture I found after using google out of curiosity - someone had tweeted this picture.

At least India has a self-reliant indigenous auto industry in the process of nurturing, while China is getting plowed by foreigners.

China welcomes foreign products with OPEN Arms whereas India bars foreign products with protectionism.

Just to spite Chinese (on a website no less) he is so cruel to his own countrymen. That's what I call amazing.

Vehicles are designed for maximum cost optimization.

Most vehicles are unibody because there is little weight difference between models.

But not for something like L7, where there is a massive weight difference between regular and armored versions, because it is a model intended to transport high-ranking communist party officials.

FAW invest $ 1.6 billion in one of their brands.
That's a tiny sum in the world of global automakers.

When you critical of others, did you thought what about yourself?
I don't quite understand what you are saying due to your broken English. Please do change your flags to the five-star red flag in order to not confuse others. Real Hong Kongese don't speak broken English.

Indian engineering and programming outsourcing service is of much higher quality than the Chinese ones.

If you really think that, no wonder Indian GDP = Korean GDP

Sure.

People's Daily Online -- Air China transports over 400 million passengers safely

Airline accident ratings

(China Airlines is Taiwanese)

Amazingly, Air Zimbabwe is one of the safest airlines in the world with zero fatalities in over 30 years.

Your picture doesn't prove anything about the product itself. Just proves you bought an Indian food, it had a Chinese label and you dumped it.

The picture does not prove anything. I am merely stating how much we are prejudiced about each other countries' products.

Chinese airlines are actually very safe. People just have a biase against Chinese made goods. But I say let them be biased. Making unsound decisions based on bias will only cause stupid biased people undue financial loss.

India is behind in this respect, but give them time. India will improve too.

It is called prudence - I would rather throw away couple of dollars into trash rather than spending thousands of dollars on health related issues. And trust me, I would rather trash this than knowingly give it to a homeless or starving man.
