I still think PLA shall not abandon bullpup design. It is really a good layout for CQB or firing in moving armor vehicle like IFV. But the Type 95 bullpup is still abit too long bulky. Shorter it abit more and emphasis on ergonomics, it just need to be effective in range of 200 - 300m will do.
A short and well balance rifle allow user having the advantage of drawing first blood. While Bullpup allows it to retain certain firing range if need to take out opponent from further block in urban warfare despite of its shorter overall layout.
Israel still stick with Tavor bullpup design becos of their constant experience fighting in urban, compact fighting situation. They also need to travel often in armor vehicle where compact of their assault rifle are needed. That is where bullpup design shines.
