China introduce first Chinese Made Passengers aircraft

China is a state managed country. Everything will be planned by CCP. All state owned airline must buy certain number of C919. Chinese own groom pilot are all proud to fly C919. The final blow to western countries is , Boeing estimate China will be the largest aviation market for next 20 years. The market is controlled by state and so is the airlines. China do not even need to export this airline oversea and can earn big profit by just selling it to domestic airline.

China is the largest aviation market for a reason. We have the cash and the need. Just China market alone is equal to a whole Europe continent needs. China is state managed. C919 is a project initial by President Xi, I dare any domestic airline not to buy C919. You can say we China cheated but we sure win.

And you answered your own question.

Companies that have the free will to pick and buy whatever is the most cost efficient will do just that. It will still be a few years before foreign companies take notice of the C919. But that's normal, no need to take it personally.

In China , that rule do not usually applied. We have national interest to meet and we have the cash. Your theory will only work in other place. Even Boeing initial passenger airline project needs US government support before take off. Why China shall be different? Dont forget, the largest aviation market is controlled by us. We call the shot!

You are spot on with your reply, if we take Russian aviation which despite being very old has still a very bad aviation safety record till now. but still its a big step for Chinese aviation industry
The thing is this...

A 'bad' aviation record, especially from a country that have decades long history in aviation and gave the world highly esteemed aviation experts, can come from only one source: maintenance.

If an aircraft, civilian or military, is a genuinely bad design, it will not make it to mass production, let alone be flying for decades. No aircraft is perfect, but for the civilian sector, the ones currently flying passed the minimum of aerodynamics and assorted engineering requirements in order to make flight and longevity.

What ails so experienced aviation sector in Russia is maintenance i reckon and once you start having safety issue in this sector then its virtually impossible to regain it back. That's why Boeing and Airbus have no serious challenge till now

Boeing Raises Its Estimate of Chinese Aircraft Demand - WSJ

Dont worry, China will still buy Boeing and Airbus even with C919. Just few hundred of symbolic amount :D
That does not mean Boeing and Airbus need China to survive. If no one else buy the C919, then any profit from its sale will come from only one source: China.

Boeing and Airbus have profits from many sources. In the end, approval of the C919, like it or not, rests on the professionals of the world, not just from China.

Losing China market will be a big blow to Boeing and Airbus future plan or business. No doubt about that. But not to worry too much China market is too big. It is enough to be share by A-B-C.

HSR for domestic is the way to go.

Nearby province but not Xinjiang to Beijing. Air travel is still better. But right now, CCP makes flight travel so terrible that forces most Chinese to pick the HSR which is 90% made in China. Once C919 enter mass production and mainstream. I can see CCP revamp the airline route and domestic airline to promote Chinese travel by air for long distance flight.

The 'big blow' here is from you.

Again...If no one else buy the C919, then Boeing and Airbus will continue to profit, not merely survive. This is basic economics but you are injecting nationalism into this. It does not matter even if the Chinese government forces all domestic airlines to fly the C919, Boeing and Airbus will profit in other markets who have doubts about the C919.

Let me repeat again. Which domestic airline dare not to buy C919, a project initial by President Xi himself?

Your assumption that no one will buy C919 is totally not going to happen in real life especially largest aviation market is in China . :D

It can happen in real life. The Chinese government can force Chinese domestic airlines to buy the C919 but can the Chinese government force American Airlines to do the same ? American Airlines do fly in China, no ? If the Chinese government is foolish enough to force such a policy, then foreign airlines will leave China before they will risk their passengers on an aircraft they do not trust.

.
Right, China has a long way to go before being recognized as a reliable supplier of civilian jets. Personally I never took any travel by domestically produced or Russian aeroplanes (Only once with Tu-154).

They aren't going to fall into that trap.
Many of the components are sourced from overseas.
As the plane gets a good reputation they will simply replace those parts with domestic versions.

Why would we force American airline when US aviation market is not that attractive? Most of aviation big money is in China market. Comac dont even need foreign market and will still be part of the A-B-C in future aviation standing.

You still talk as if China is the only market or the most profitable. For starter, most of China is still underdeveloped, so even if the Chinese government forced all Chinese domestic airlines to buy and fly only the C919, where are they going to go inside China ? If there are serious issues with the C919, whether it be from design or maintenance or worse both, then no matter what the Chinese government say, the C919 is doomed.

The question is worldwide acceptance of the C919 whether it is China only or not.

I can sense a helplessness from your ranting. China is world factory. With CCP encouraging development in inner China. Large amount of opportunity to bridge that distance. That will included more travel opportunity for Chinese within China. Airliner will be the key. Boeing a big and long establish company, their estimation of CHina being the most lucrative and largest aviation market for next 20 years will not goes wrong.

China holds the key to the most lucrative market. They key to aviation success.
