Honestly it is a both side step back, it is likely that the Waimai Ministry temporarily halted to buy the stability, we only hold the bottom line with nothing proceed. In actual fact, China only gave 3 official MOFA warning and 1 military warnings from MOD. The rest were commentaries from Global Times etc copy pasted over and over. If we are the ones with no balls, why did India retreat?

Bhai, Doklam is already full of low grade foot path constructed over the years by the Chinese, the same type of foot path over in Doka La. The difference this time was China upgraded those paths to grade 40 roads, meaning 40 tonnes of load capacity, Chinese light tanks are 35 tonnes, you get the picture? China already complete upgrade till Doka La, roughly 30-40% depth of Doklam, around 100 meters from the Indian border which where the conflict took place.

Until today the completed upgraded grae 40 roads had not been destroyed, it was merely stop at Doka La. So when India said no roads in the Doklam, that's bullshit since there is still a road there.

Another thing, instead of just patrolling, Chinese troops are now stationed there. This is the biggest status quo change. You essentially handed Chinese the excuse to militarize Doklam.

No, India had no choice.
India cannot withdraw without loss of face but cannot stay on for too long for fear of outbreak of war.
