China Energy/Power Technology, Strategic Layout of Resources: News & Discussions

On March 1, #CNOOC announced a major discovery in the #Bohai Sea, the Bohai Zhong 26-6 #oilfield, with a reserve of #billions of tons. The oilfield has been proven to have geological reserves exceeding 130 million tons of oil equivalent.

With normal recovery rates, it can extract over 20 million #tons of crude oil, which can be refined into gasoline to power 10,000 cars for 30 years.

In addition, it can also produce over 9 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which can meet the needs of #Tianjin's permanent population for nearly 15 years.
