China decides to impose a 25% punitive tariff on 106 items U.S. goods (worth US$50 billion in total)

The Tariff Commission of the State Council of the People's Republic of China decided to impose a 25% tariff on 14 categories of 106 products, such as soybeans, automobiles, and chemical products originating in the United States.
According to the report of China’s CCTV, the implementation date will be determined by the U.S. government’s implementation of tariff levied on Chinese products and will be announced separately.
Soybean is the main export product of the United States. Last year, the United States exported about 14 billion U.S. dollars of soybeans to China.
