China calls for negotiations, cease-fire in Ukraine after Russia's military mobilization announcement

China very much remains neutral and deaf to the West's call to sanction Russia, as do 160 other member nations in the UN. Frankly, it's an European confrontation that was started by the US to destabilize and weaken Russia. Many Chinese companies stopped their business activities in Russia since February and we didn't see a Chinese government calling its businesses to support Russia's economic activities. China has not supplied Russia with any ammunition, weapons, or money. Indonesia, India, Pakistan, N Korea, Turkey, and most countries not categorized as West still maintain businesses as usual or even at an elevated level with Russia.

You just can't single out China's business activities as helps to Russia.
Chinese Yuan has provided Russia a way out after US blocked Russia from SWIFT.

This is not willing or intentional assistance, rather just it's up to the Russians. I don't see why China wants to block the Russians from using Yuans.

Just saying Russia can keep its economy going because of China. It's not willing or intentional helping, but China is helping.

Hahahahahaaha
before the war Russia, China, and Europe had cheap oil and gas
now Russia, China and India have cheap oil and gas
Don’t you notice something is missing?
hahhaha hahahha. Exactly. I am not sure how stupid they get. Russia might be selling cheaper oil and gas but its still more expensive than before the war. It is sustaining them economically.

I guess announcing something like this the day of the original invasion was too inconvenient.
Uuuuu, 4 territories are now officially Russian. Attacking them equals attacking Russia, let's see if Nato dares come in.

China cannot make up for all lost customers from Europe, at best maybe 30-40%. India maybe another 10-15%. Also oil and gas is just one sector. What about lost jobs due to all western companies that have exited Russia- like hundreds of them? Or job losses due to all Russian companies that can no longer do business elsewhere in the world? What about smart Russian tech people finding remote jobs in US/Canada/Europe and fleeing at the first chance they get? My company relocated several of our Russian employees, who were among the smartest lot you could find, they are now here in Canada and never going back, this is being repeated at a macro scale.

This is an economic disaster for Russia, as much as cheerleaders here would like to believe otherwise.

Look at the Russia export chart. This is why their economy is fine. Russian economy aint like India or China. They have lots of resources and few people. As long as they can export their resources, they are fine.

and they aren't any jobless people anymore with general mobilization just announced.

How can Russia win the economic war?
Before the war Russia sells oil and gas to Europe and China.
Now Russia sells oil and gas to China.

I pay u rmb 1 billion, do u want it or not?

They can do business in China. Import fully Chinese equipment to continue their economy. It just a matter of they want it or not.

I guess you didn't read much, it's China's official stance from day one, even before the war broke out.

Yeah, I remember reading China saying Russia had "legitimate security concerns"? I don't remember them mentioning a cease fire.

2022-02-25 (the day after the invasion)
"China always respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries, and also understands Russia's reasonable security concerns, as a complicated and special history lies behind the Ukraine issue, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi told Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Thursday."

If you like to comment about China, you should read some Chinese news, not only your one sided garbage western media, we always read news from both sides, that's why we are way way well informed than you guys.

Yes, you are correct I do read garbage Chinese media that doesn't mention an iota word about a cease-fire. You want me to ask them to rewrite it or something to mention a cease-fire to make you happy?

China Daily (simplified Chinese: 中国日报; traditional Chinese: 中國日報; pinyin: Zhōngguó Rìbào) is an English-language daily newspaper owned by the Publicity Department of the Chinese Communist Party.[2][3][4]
