Yes, another reason is people's awareness, both the medical professionals and the general public. From my experience in both Chinese and western hospitals, I can see Chinese doctors have much much higher alert level than most western doctors, same for the general public. In Chinese hospital, even for a seemly minor illness, doctors will prescribe a lot of medicine and examinations for you, while in the western hospital, doctors will say you are doing amazing, and let you go home.

I am not Indian. But hey this is the white worshiping and looking down on other ethic people of Chinese that I was talking about.
