China has asked the international community to respect sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan.
Talking to newsmen in Islamabad, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong hailed the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in the war against terror and said Islamabad should be provided support in the war on equal footing.
The Ambassador said Beijing supports Pakistan counter-terrorism strategies.
He termed 2014 as the year of development‚ achievements and harvest with Pakistan.
Sun Weidong said strategic relations the two countries should be strengthened besides enhancing exchanges of political parties‚ parliamentarians‚ local governments‚ think tanks‚ youth and media.
He said China is giving top priority to its cooperation with Pakistan in energy sector as Chinese companies want to invest in hydel‚ thermal‚ solar‚ wind and nuclear power generation projects.
He said we should strengthen cooperation in defence‚ maritime‚ agriculture and law enforcement.
The ambassador that China will send one thousand Chinese teachers to Pakistan in the next five years.
He said China is planning to build up a cultural centre in Pakistan.
