China And Pakistan Beware -- This Week, India And US Sign Major War Pact

Lets assume, Chinese Navy is non existent. All its needed to secure the shipping lines in Arabian sea (oil imports) and towards red sea, is to deploy long rang fighters, the likes of SU35s and Chinese equivalents using Pakistani bases, job done and bob is your uncle.

Oil flow to where the strategic interests lies of these Sheikh kingdoms. Arabs are pissed off with yanks and Saudi de facto ruler just left Islamabad this morning. So yeah, watch the space.

gulf arabs like to be paid. they want protection. they want a place to park their money. Uncle Sam and West provides all of it

As impressive as aircraft carriers get no one has won a submarine contest with Uncle Sam. US submarines destroyed Japanese maritime shipping in World War 2. china's ability to hunt for American subs is close to zero. it will stay that way for a long time

.
LOL, and the great irony is that many Indian members have constantly attacked Pakistan for selling out to America.

Yet it is India who is running to sell their sovereignty to America as we speak. :P

The only problem is what are they going to do with all their Russian equipment?

Who is selling sovereignty?

It is logistic agreement and India can get out of it anytime.

India needs peaceful environment while it grows and this is to balance the enemy superiority. Simple as that !

These days China is behaving like a headless chicken warning every one.

.
India can now use all American bases completely encircle both Pakistan and China , this is a brilliant move .

They will get the payment from Chinese.

they want protection

Thats why their defacto king was burning midnight oil in Islamabad yesterday.

they want a place to park their money

There are plenty of places to park that money. No issue.

Uncle Sam and west used to provide all that but times have changed. You need to get clued up with present geopolitical scenario. The 9/11 effected familes can now sue Saudi Arabia for their money. Alarm bells are ringing and Saudis are understanding all these trends with Iran being propped up as next American lacky in the ME from Muslim world.

You are talking about dooms day scenario here. Uncle Sam is not stupid to go to war with Pakistan and China (third and fourth biggest nuke powers in the world) for just to stop CPEC. They want to create area denial by deploying their military assets. but to negate that, Pakistan and China can easily use their Air power to secure the trade lines. Few super sonic flypast over American ships and carrier approaching a certain red line would do the job. There are reasons why Pakistan is looking for SU35. Its more to do with security of shipping lines which will get mega busy after CPEC completion.

Yes yes, we get it, according to you China is the trouble maker and the US is the peacemaker. As for fear-mongering, your so-called peacemakers claimed that Saddam could launch a nuclear attack against the west in ten minutes, that is the true example of fear-mongering! We can see that you have too much to lose if the US goes down.

Stopping putting words in my mouth. Seriously, take some time off from the internet.

We're pretty sure Modi doesn't agree with you on this.

Bangladeshis doesnt need to agree what Indians do or think. Bangladesh as a democracy has a long way to go. India is a matured democracy. This agreement needs to be ratified by Parliament. If there is a clause where US can use bases in times of war compromising Indian neutrality, then it wont pass. Its not that simple. Even if Lok Sabha passes it, Rajya Sabha wont, where BJP is in minority.

We have many checks and balances. If Modi does something like this, then its political suicide for BJP.

I am sorry but the underline statements are frankly quite delusional.
Right.

So why US continues to give (economic and military) aid to Pakistan?

- IMF sustained our economy in dire times.
- USAID (and similar organizations) continue to fund and/or monitor different projects in Pakistan (Official link: https://www.usaid.gov/pakistan)
- US is the second largest trading partner of Pakistan (after China)
- Pakistani people are increasingly migrating to the US for better opportunities and vice versa

Contrary to popular belief, US is not interested in disintegrating/destroying Pakistan. Americans fully understand that a stable Pakistan is good for entire Asia.

Looks like some people pay too much attention to (opinionated) articles on the web that are hardly grounded in facts and spread fear-mongering and incite hatred.

There is lot of baggage between the two nations since 9/11 which might take a generation or so to get over with. So not happening anytime soon. Just marriage of convenience at very best and from Pakistan point of view, that should how it be.
I suppose that your opinion is grounded in statistics?

Should US decide to issue free VISA to millions of Pakistani individuals, watch the carnage afterwards.

People don't give a damn about Afghanistan and/or matters that do not affect them directly; they care about their livelihood and opportunities. What they assert on the web or in a gathering, matters little in the end.

With regards to CPEC, its primarily a economic venture but the recent American-Indian military pact, there is no doubt it will accomodate some some sort of military aspect as well. Pakistan and China cannot stay idle when America and India are planing to deploy substantial sea assets in Indian ocean to effectively chock the ingress/egress of Gawadar/CPEC.
CPEC should not be militarized unless directly and/or officially threatened. Right now! No state is threatening it.

What we have here is an (opinionated) article, grounded in inner-fears of the author.

Even the economic aspect of CPEC would not be swallowed by America specially when the ME oil start flowing towards Chinese market instead of American.
My friend, you seem to be out of touch with latest developments in the world.

Why do you think oil prices significantly dropped worldwide? Because demand of oil has reduced worldwide. US, in particular, have significantly reduced its oil imports and is shifting its industry to alternate-sources of energy.

Pakistan and China needs to act and act fast and uproot all the challenges that are coming in the way of their mutual interests. India is playing a role of a regional nuisance and needs to be effectively neutralized. And I am pretty sure Pakistani and Chinese deep states know how to achieve this. They need to start exchanging their notes on regular basis.
If China rushes to militarize CPEC without provocation, this development will grant India and US the impetus to do something in response. This is the bait, my friend. Do not fall for it.

Pakistan's foreign policy should not be strictly China-centric. We need to maintain a working relationship with all major powers in the world. You don't pull all of your eggs in one basket.

@LeGenD I think it is already too late ... for CPEC. Maybe wrong here. It will become casualty of the power politics of US and China ...

I didn't put words in your mouth, you did say that the purpose of the thread was fear-mongering, did you not? You have always been trying to put a positive spin on the US activities, am I exaggerating? It is possible for only a puppet to defend the mischief and havoc the US has been causing all around the globe.

How long will this ratification take? If what you claim was true Congress would have been in power in india. That's a bygone era. Most indians are eagerly waiting to get on uncle sam's band wagon and Modi can sense it and he's acting on it. Sooner or later this agreement will be ratified.

Pakistani military protecting the Gulf Arabs. What a joke ?? You do not have the power projection capability to fight a war thousand mile away

40 Su-35s have no prayer against a US Navy carrier group. You are assuming Russia will supply you

This is leverage they try to create in nations where they might have interests, not charity. Its all done through economic hitmen and stooges. India being the soviet ally in cold war yet top recipient of USAID even surpassing Israel. And all this, the economic figures, are in pale to what we have done for them in region and beyond since 50s. We have done more then enough from our side, lets not try to create an impression that its been a one way street. Time to move on and if there has to be interaction with Americans, only when our national interests are served.

Times are changing. Its a silly notion that people will queue up for moving to America. I have personally known many who came to UK for the purpose of settling , yet went back to Pakistan after realities sunk in. Its a myth created through media and needs to be debunked.

So what do you think the American-Indian military pact is aimed for? Pakistan and China up till now have not mentioned anything which might suggest that there will be a military aspect to CPEC. Those military highups who might be a tiny bit more informed then myself and you, who are raising threats to CPEC by hostile nations, are they confused?

My friend, you seem to be out of touch with latest developments in the world.

Why do you think oil prices significantly dropped worldwide? Because demand of oil has reduced worldwide. US, in particular, have significantly reduced its oil imports and is shifting its industry to alternate-sources of energy.

Mate, its bit naive to think the oil will be replaced soon to other energy sources. As for the oil prices, it was manipulated to hurt the Russian economy. For the ME, their economy depends on their oil export. Even for the sake of argument, if west swtich over to other energy sources, for the sake of the ME and their economy survival, and I am not playing devil's advocate here, it make perfect sense for them to look for markets who are still relying on oil, and thats where China comes into picture. They are producing more cars the whole of Europe combined annually. It makes perfect sense for them to use CPEC for this purpose and sooner the transition they make the better for their own sake.

Militarization of Arabian Sea and Indian ocean is well on the way after America-Indian pact. We just need to respond to it. and if we dont we will be shooting on our own foot. Mind you, this is something that we didnt started. Your argument is basically no argument.

I agree, we cant be seen China centric and that why we are developing relationship with Russia. As for America, we need to keep them at arms length with bear minimum contact. They are going back in their shell, they successfully pissed off Pakistanis, Turkish, Arabs and even Europeans are questioning them with the mutual trade agreements and what not.

Tell this to Saudis. I guess they were burning the midnight oil in Islamabad telling the "jokes" to COAS.

We dont know the numbers of SU35, its all under discussion atm. but as for deterrence value, they will play their part or any other platform with similary capability for that matter.

Lol. There was a reason Land Acquisition Bill failed to get passed. GST was passed by LS long back. But RS ratified it just now.
We Indians are proud of our independent Foreign policy, maintaining our relationships will all world powers. From Israel to Iran, and Soviet Union to US. No country can brag such success. There is a reason for that. Checks and Balances which only an matured democracy can have.

I can wake up a man who is asleep but not a one who pretends to be. You have no idea on India's foreign policy and Indian political set up and yet comments on it.
