China $700 billion water diversion project benefits over 100 million people

It's not bragging, it's the reality and no one denies it, the reason why all Chinese think you are an Indian is because you consistenly picks on China and do the nitpicking, in your eyes, nothing is right about China. Singapore is small city state, it can be as different as difference can be when comparing with huge continental size countries like China, try to compare Singapore with similar size countries could be more suitable, start with Vatican maybe.

If it's not bragging, then it's about generating discussion?

And I'm talking about the feasibility of using water technologies in urban areas, as compared to water diversion. Is that not relevant? What's there to correct?

.
Which is why I told you it is not feasible in China's city. Singapore is a small country with a big budget, China's budget is not for BEIJING ALONE. This is what I corrected. And btw, Singapore will buys almost 40% water from Malaysia. Unless you are telling me you are 100% selfsufficeint. Not to forget, water recycling alone is not enough, you still depend on desal, all in all, how many billion did Singapore spent? Nearly 10-15bil$? Thats almost a quarter of the 50-60bil NSWT. And this 60bil$ project is for 300mil people, with very low operating costs, do you know how much water would cost if we were to use Sg's way? I told you, Chinese are not stupid, they did demonstration plant with desal in Caofeidian and found out it was really expensive to run and demand was low. They are doing recycling now, and even that is not enough., Thats why I ask you to check first how much water recycling is done in Beijing. DO you know unlike Sg, where car wash uses water liberally, all car wash in Beijing uses recycled water? Sometimes you don't need big plant to recycle water, understand?

Your kind of discussion is weird, how many of your posts are postive about China and how many negative? Can you give an estimation percentage and see if others agree? I have my preference I always admit, my preference is China and her allies, you also do, don't sound like you are an objective poster not taking sides.

. .
If a person's posts are 90% negative about a country, you've already known his position about that country.

.
Interesting. We’ve also done a similar (albiet smaller at only $13 billion) irrigation project. We need one of these projects in every state in order to meet our water demand

That's more like a regional water channel like the video below where in China provinces, cities and villages do by themselves mostly, not a national level project. This one only runs within Shaanxi province.

So because I disagree, I must be an Indian?

Funny how this foreigner working in Singapore is accusing me, a born and bred Singaporean Chinese, as an Indian working in Singapore. I don't know why is he feeling superior over the Indians working here anyway, in my country.

In the first place, race doesn't matter in the discussion. They can argue based on facts and reasoning but they had to bring in and attack other races every single time, and no other country here does that. You may remember me as 'pro-China' when I joined this forum, but it's exactly this sort of ultra-nationalism which puts people off, including ethnic Chinese like me.

One thing I can agree with them though, democracy isn't suitable for them.
Their public discourse will turn into endless character assassination with no constructive discussion like in Taiwan, as they have showed here and in other forums.
Isn't it ironic that they are laughing at Taiwan's politics?

Not necessarily, but you are 100% against China, which is rare among Singaporean posters here.

Explain what do you mean by '100% against China'.

Why all Chinese posters don't like you, because almost all your posts are trying to put China in a bad light, people don't do things for no reason, badmouthing China all the time is never a meaningful discussion you mentioned.

Can you find out for me?
We all got a general idea on that, don't we? please don't lie and tell me.

So how did I badmouth China here? By talking about the possibility of implementing water recycling technologies in Beijing? Because discussing about the environmental impacts?
The discussion is getting along fine with JSCh and hiseen, until your fellow compatriot goes around attacking other people's races when it's not even relevant.

It's some of you guys who are so narrow-minded and ultra-sensitive that any alternative view must be viewed as 'anti-China', and in this case, an Indian. You obviously know it's untrue, and such behavior simply reflects your reputation badly. So? Ask yourself, if you're a foreigner who do you think is actually damaging China's reputation here?

Well I think they aren’t used to people saying things that fall outside the party line so when people do they assume it MUST be from one of their sworn enemies or something.

Explain what do you mean by '100% against China'.

If you are speaking with an independent opinion you are falling outside the Borg Collective and that makes you the enemy.
