Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen John Hillier, Chief of the Air Staff, Royal Air Force visited Air Headquarters Islamabad today.

On his arrival, the distinguished guest was received by Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Air Force presented him the Guard of Honour. Chief of the Royal Air Force paid homage to the martyrs of PAF by laying floral wreath on Martyrs’ Monument.

The visiting dignitary was introduced to the Principal Staff Officers of Pakistan Air Force. He was also given a detailed briefing on the PAF. Later on, he called on Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman in his office. Both the dignitaries remained together for some time and discussed matters of professional and mutual interest.

The Chief of RAF lauded PAF’s leading role in the operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorism. He also appreciated the high morale and sound professionalism of the PAF personnel. Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman emphasized the importance of mutual training and conduct of Operational Exercises between the two Air Forces to benefit from each other experiences. The Chief of Royal Air Force is on an official visit to Pakistan on the invitation of Pakistan Air Force.

Yup I did what I know is PAF is looking for a 4.5th Generation Fighter and SU-35 and Euro Fighter are lead candidates so let's hope one of them at least come because we need it. So I hope this trip is related to that and not just a good will visit.

Didnt you predicted this in relation to a visit to ITALY in the past? Is it UK now? :O

Dude, these are just goodwill visits, he is the guest of honour for the passing out ceremony.
When PAF Airchief was in UK a few years back, he even went up in a EF Typhoon just like sometimes back another visiting RAF Chief was given a familiarisation flight in a Sargodha based FT-7.

I know but since some of our friends here love to "discover" deal i thought it would be rude of me not to play along. :P SOMETIMES at least!!!

When PAF Airchief was in UK a few years back, he even went up in a EF Typhoon just like sometimes back another visiting RAF Chief was given a familiarisation flight in a Sargodha based FT-7.
I wonder if there are such characters in UK as well who would have used the FT-7 flight event to claim that "RAF is getting F7s from Pakistan" :undecided:
