In past few day I have come across many of people showing their deep sympathy and support toward our Ale-Tashi brothers, I have not meet any single person be it politicians or religious scholar or belong to any other walk of life, who is not deeply worried at the targeted killing of Shia sect, some of them even call it a genocide of Shia’s community.

They all are worried but what next, nobody is coming up with any strategy or policy to encounter the current situation

I may be wrong but I see a change in pattern in these terrorist attacks as previously local groups were involved in sectarian violence had a typical pattern of killing by Gunshot or suicidal attacks in mosques and religious gatherings but now the pattern which is in use in current bomb blasts in Quetta & in Karachi is the same pattern used in Iraq such as the usage of Car and Motorcycles and remote control devices for the purpose blast at market places and residential areas.

Following are the some of the Iraqi bomb explosions conducted at the same pattern

August 29, 2003, The Imam Ali Mosque bombing was the detonation of two car bombs outside of the Shia Imam Ali Mosque in Najaf

March 2, 2004, The Ashura massacre of in Iraq was a series of planned terrorist explosions that killed at least 178 and injured at least 500 Iraqi Shi'a Muslims commemorating the Day of Ashura. The bombings brought one of the deadliest days in the Iraq occupation after the Iraq War to topple Saddam Hussein.

November 2, 2010, Eleven car bombs rock Baghdad, killing 63 people and wounding 285 in predominantly Shiite neighborhoods in the Iraqi capital.

January 5, 2012 Attacks against Shiite Muslims in Baghdad and the south kill 68 people and wound more than 100.

The bombings began early in the morning when explosions struck two Shiite neighborhoods in

Baghdad, killing at least 27 people.

The explosions took place near Nasiriyah, about 200 miles southeast of Baghdad. Hospital officials confirmed the causalities.

The blasts occurred in the run-up to Arbaeen, a Shiite holy day which marks the end of 40 days of mourning that follow the anniversary of the death of Imam Hussein

The attacks began in Baghdad with the explosion of a bomb attached to a motorcycle near a bus stop where day laborers gather to look for work in the Shiite Sadr City neighborhood. One of those who witnessed the attack said it filled the area with thick black smoke.

BAGHDAD | Thu Jan 5, 2012 2:39pm EST
(Reuters) - Bomb attacks in mainly Shi'ite Muslim areas of Iraq killed at least 73 people and wounded scores on Thursday, police and hospital sources said

Earlier on Thursday, a bomb planted on a parked motorcycle and another roadside explosive device killed at least 10 people and wounded 37 in Sadr City, a slum district in northeast Baghdad, police and hospital sources said.

MOTORCYCLE AND DAY LABOURERS

Police said they found and defused two other bombs.
"There was a group of day laborers gathered, waiting to be hired for work. Someone brought his small motorcycle and parked it nearby. A few minutes later it blew up, killed some people, wounded others and burned some cars," said a police officer at the scene, declining to be named.
Two car bombs in Baghdad's northwestern Kadhimiya district killed at least 15 people and wounded 32, police and hospital sources said.

Jan 24, 2012, In Iraq a series of car bombs exploded in Shiite areas of Baghdad. At least 19 people were killed and over 60 injured

June 16, 2012 Double car bombs strike Shi'ite pilgrims in Baghdad, killing at least 26 people and wounding more than 60 in the third day of violence during a major religious festival in the capital.

Two separate car bomb attacks targeting Shia Muslim pilgrims in Baghdad have killed at least 32 people, Iraqi officials say.

July 3, 2012, At least 39 people die across the country, many of them in a truck bombing at a market in central Iraq.

BAGHDAD — A truck with explosives hidden in its cargo of watermelons exploded on Tuesday in Diwaniya, a largely Shiite city in southern Iraq, killing at least 40 people, including a 6-year-old boy. It was the deadliest in a string of attacks in central and southern Iraq on Tuesday, continuing a surge in violence that began last month and exacerbating a sense of fatalism in the country.

July 3, 2012 - A bomb in a truck kills 40 people and wounds 75 in a market in Diwaniya, near a mosque where pilgrims were gathering for a Shi'ite celebration. Another blast kills four people near Kerbala.

June 13, 2012, A wave of apparently coordinated bombings and shootings rock Iraq during a major Shiite religious commemoration, killing at least 72 people and wounding more than 250, many of them pilgrims

In Wednesday's attacks, at least 18 people were killed when four bombs hit pilgrims across Baghdad as they gathered to mark the anniversary of the death of Shi'ite imam Moussa al-Kadhim,
A coordinated wave of car bombs struck Shiite pilgrims in Baghdad and several other cities Wednesday, killing at least 65 people and wounding more than 200.

Wednesday’s blasts were the third this week targeting the annual pilgrimage that sees hundreds of thousands of Shiites converge on a golden-domed shrine in Baghdad’s northern neighborhood of Kazimiyah to commemorate the eighth century death of a revered Shiite saint, Imam Moussa al-Kadhim. The commemoration culminates on Saturday

July 22, 2012 Car bombs kill 20 people in Najaf and towns south of Baghdad.

July 23, 2012 Car bomb attacks take place in Taji, north of Baghdad, and in Sadr City and the Shi'ite area of Hussainiya, both in the capital. Four car bombs strike Kirkuk. In total at least 73 people are killed and 223 wounded.

July 23, 2012 A wave of bombings and gun attacks kills 91 people and leaves 172 wounded in 13 cities.

A car bomb exploded near a cafe in the Shi'ite Ameen district in south-eastern Baghdad, killing six men and wounding 24 others as they sat smoking shisha water pipes and drinking tea.

Now concentrate on 3 points

1- Local outfits were killing each other in targeted Gun shoots
2- In recent past other then these incident almost every bomb blast weather sectarian or non- sectarian were suicidal attacks
3- Car bombing with heavy explosive is a pattern used in Iraq

This situation and change in Pattern of terrorist & sectarian outfits raise some quires

What could be the purpose of terrorist organizations to change their strategy...??

Does it show some foreign involvement at strategic & planning level of local terrorist organization....??

And most importantly what is the purpose of killing of Shias at this point of time...??

Interesting observation..

True what used to mostly gunshots and suicide bombings have evolved into car, truck and bike bombings..

This would mean Al-Qaeda has joined in the attack with their expertise..

This also coincide with fact, all the mentioned countries are either occupied by foreign states or are ruled by proxies of foreign states.

You may be right but i find it difficult to agree with you at this point......Suicidal attacks and and ambush is a pattern of Al-Qaida and it associated groups....

Decrease in suicidal attacks show weakens of operational strength of these groups.....

In very easy words, the enemies of Pakistan want to start civil war in Pakistan & these terrorist attacks have grown since Pakistan gave Gawadar port to China & Pakistan-Iran gas pipe line project got finalized.

We can already see clashes of Shia & Sunni in Mid East & other countries like Syria, Iraq etc. You don’t need a genius to understand or to know who is doing all this & why. The same formula is applied here in our Pakistan, they the enemies of Pakistan want to see a civil war in our Pakistan.

The enemies of Pakistan are Pakistanis themselves who would not even agree this is happening and sweep it under the rug of Foreign Planning .

Homegrown Termites are eating Fabric of Pakistani Society from Inside while all fingers are being pointed outwards .

Yes yes.. entire world is conspiring against Pakistan...

Look like Enemy of Pakistan have lot of spare time...

Dear it a matter of fact that we are also facing Home grown terrorism, but if you think it is the only curse we are facing then my dear I believe you are in denial mode this time.

Dear it is a thumb rule that no event of Sabotage and Terrorism occur in isolation. Pakistan is situated at the geographical cross road of three different regions; it is therefore we suffer more from foreign sponsored terrorism than any other nation.

these so-called terrorists are trying to create a civil war between sunnies and shias in pakistan. little don they know its never guna happen in pakistan. relationships in pakistan between muslim sects are really good. we all know who is doing this we just have to ride it out till we have the resources to confront these terrorists.
