CFO of Chinese tech giant Huawei arrested in Vancouver, sought by U.S. for extradition

. . . .
USA is losing trade war they want China to go tough on foreign business established in mainland. I would suggest China to act with brains and hit them where it hurts them rather than going after CEO of Canadian companies.

Best way is to punish Canada economically that is where it hurts Canada most.

Huawei finance chief arrested in Canada, faces extradition to US over Iran sanctions – report

"...The Wall Street Journal reported back in April, that the US authorities have been probing the Chinese telecommunication giant since at least 2016 for allegedly circumventing Iranian sanctions and supplying US-origin products to the Islamic Republic..."

So much for people's idea of Huawei being different than ZTE by having their own tech.
Huawei obviously is still reliant on US stuff.

This is the first big arrest for Interpol's South Korean Kim Jong Yang after the previous Chinese guy disappeared.

I don't see xi lasting his full term.
If he retaliates then relations deteriote and china's economy suffers.
If he does not retaliate then comes off as weak and his position is severely undermined.
USA is a bully and basically showing China who is boss.
Now all Chinese will travel in fear because they won't know under what pretense they might get picked up.
She will be released but its utter humiliation for China.
