CCTV4: China flown military aircraft to confront foreign jet (seemingly F22) near Chinese ADIZ

.
which chinese air craft can challenge the raptor??

.

Sure, lets jump to a conclusion... :coffee:

Most military jetsAESA radar will detect an F-22 at 125 km distance today, 10-20 years ago that would be at mere 50 to 75 kilometers... Ground radars are far more powerful than ones on military jets and far more powerful than ground radars 10 to 20 years ago.

According to Taiwanese source, F22 was found by Chinese JY-26 phased array radar tracking and separating target with high accuracy with long range up to 500 km.

If the news is true and some China radar can detect F-22 when flying close to China sky ... F-22 isn't a threat to China from U.S, when radar detect them then missiles incoming ... the fact is really a sad news for U.S Airforce.

Detection of the F-22 or other similar stealth aircraft is a piece of cake。

The PLA Daily has written about this “intrusion” on Feb. 10th,2016。

Hope “the Beacon of the Freeworld” will soon shed more light on this。

Come on,don't be shy。:D:D

Any west news source ? The West media should better to prove it's just a fake news from China side ... or if F-22 can detected, what about 'SuperStar' F-35 fly to China sky ???

.
if it's true, it's very dumb of them to do that. they should've acted clueless and surprise fu<ked 'em yankee bois later on when the time comes :D

Remember the news/rumour that F-22 was detected by the said radar in Shandong in 2014 when the US sent few to Korea and quickly flown away? The west medias never mentioned it at all. Let's see if any difference this time. Given the PLA newspaper has covered it, plus these days F22 were flying over SK sky in show off, this news is quite credible this time.

The problem is, there are no F-22 deployed in Japan.........The last Deployment ended in 2015 and all went back to Hickham AFB in Hawai'i.

Current F-22 Deployment

1 FW - Langley AFB, VA
53rd FW - Eglin AFB, FL
57th FW - Nellis AFB, NV
325th FW - Tyndall AFB, FL
154th FW - Hickham AFB, HI
192th FW - Langley AFB, VA
44th FW - Tyndall AFB, FL
477th FW Elemdorf AFB, AK
15th FW - Hickham AFB, HI
3rd FW - Elemdorf AFB, AK

It's quite unlikely the Bogey is F-22, none of the Fighter Wing that operate F-22 were anywhere near Asia (let alone close to China/Japan)....by the way, China never VID the aircraft from the video, it could be anything. If these data were indeed F-22, then Chinese Radar must have 5000+ mile range.

Correction: the F-22 Deployment in japan ended in 2013, the last F-22 Deployment in Asia are to Malaysia for Exercise in 2014.

Not surprised since that is what it was designed for.

If not then maybe russian or japanese stealth prototypes or maybe even india.

U.S. F-22 stealth fighters fly over S. Korea in show of force toward DPRK
SEOUL, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- Four U.S. F-22 stealth fighters flew over South Korea's airspace on Wednesday in an apparent show of force toward the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's (DPRK) recent nuclear test and rocket launch.

The nuclear-capable U.S. fighter jets flew low over Osan Air Base near Seoul at about noon time, according to local media reports.

The F-22 stealth fighters, which made a sortie from an air base in Japan, were escorted by four South Korean F-15K fighters and four U.S. F-16 fighters.

Two of them are set to return back to the air base in Japan (close to ADIZ of East China Sea), while the remaining are reportedly scheduled to stay at the Osan Air Base for the time being.

Do some update plz,14 in Japan Yokota base since Jan 22

If not then maybe russian or japanese stealth prototypes or maybe even india.

They said they had detected a Bogey in the Video (Surprise, Surprise, I can understand Mandarin) but they never VID the aircraft in question, just that it have a signature of F-22 so they assume it was ( Even tho all F-22 are currently deployed in Continental US)

The Aircraft should be a US Aircraft, as they probably ID the Aircraft by transponder and IFF, very unlikely it was an Russia or Indian Aircraft.

But then what can it be? It could literally be ANYTHING, maybe an F-18F took off the Aircraft carrier, or F-15 or F-16 took off Japanese Base, unless those PLA RO is that dumb, it should not mistaken a Heavy to a Light Weight Fighter....

my bad, but my post remain unchanged, the PLA did not VID the fighter, again, as I said, it could be anything.

I am skeptical at chinese claim due few reasons...

For example when its about radars, Gripen C/D radar upgrade which isn't AESA, but has eletronics/back-end that is powerful to be used on AESA radar and processing of informations, upgrade for 2017 will detect:
0.1 m2 at 100-120 kilometers
4-5 m2 at 300-350 kilometers

As you can conclude that over longer distances the detection degrades significantly as further the signal goes.

F-22 RCS is far lower than Eurofighter Typhoon which at best has 0.1 m2 RCS...

500 kilometer range even for this newest chinese radar I have doubts that it could detect RCS that is smaller than a bird.
