CCS clears Akash induction

This should have started quite sometime back as Army/IAF was happy with the system more than a year ago. I personally find the CCS as a band of old babu dingbats who have no knowledge of their post and have reached there simply due to Madam Maino's blessings.
They are a hindrance to national defense. Rather than a whole cabinet, I am all for 5-10 people FROM all 3 branches handling these sorts of clearings. Babugiri in defence shouldn't be allowed. It is a hindrance.

100 a year figure cannot be right. I doubt we have even half that production rate for prithvis. What are the chances we have double the rate for PAD?

Ballistic missiles are usually manufactured in small numbers but missiles like AAD, Akash, Astra will be mass produced. I think the number should be more than 100 per year. Look at Akash, just air force ordered 1250 missiles but do you think it will take 12/13 years to make all those missiles? No. As far as news sources are concerned nearly two squadrons of Akash inducted into the air force in between 2008-2010 ie 250 missiles. So I think number of AAD per year will be more than 100.


PAD/PDV will have much less production rate as they are huge missiles. May be ~40 per year. Note that govt allocated huge money for expansion of various manufacturing facilities of DRDO and BDL.

Read sudhir007's post below. Beside's my main point there was that BMD has no independent testing agency like army or IAF in India and that there should be one for all units that will be under Strategic Forces command.

aaa!did US ,RUSSIA & israel called for independent agency in their BMD TESTING PHASE ??
Ans-No, Force is itself act as agency and they going to test when the development is over . Also their is CAG too but this is again a different entity . So you just keep up your blabbering ..
