CBS Hong Kong residents see new bridge as Chinese propaganda

. . . .
Yup!

If HK GDP per capita goes up to USD 200.000, it's because of Chinese propaganda.

If HK GDP per capita goes down to USD 1000, yup, China is evil.

Nothing good came from China. Only when China is completely destroyed, fall into the Stone age, that is a good China... At the same time, they concern about Chinese low human development index.

.
So Hong Kong taxpayers have to pay 60% of the $20B for a bridge mostly mainlanders will use. No wonder they are upset.

People from both sides will use, especially for the future, it's designed to last for over a century, but anyway, the western media can find fault in everything China does, but we always know that we must be right when they say we are wrong, we followed this rule and achieved what we have now.

They can only bark but no bite. That's the very nature of a weakened neo-fascist.

So, we just put on ear-puffs and keep working even harder for a more connected China
They are the same people that complain the high speed rail system, joint checkpoint plan and others if that involved connecting HK to China to avold the self isolation of HK. Western support media would surely exaggerate that voice to look like HK people are against those projects, but this is no worry they are not the voice of majority.

He just made it up, so don't worry about that and those claim not to use the bridge are mostly from pan-democratic camp and very fews in number.

Why is the percentage of the cost for the bridge so high for the Hong Kong people? 60% of $20Billion? They don’t have 1.3 Billion people to spread this cost over. Pretty sure this wasn’t their idea. No wonder so many flee to Canada, Australia and other former British territories.

Apparently it is getting worse

Number of Hongkongers migrating to Canada hits 20-year high, stretching back to handover in 1998

I'm prety sure the deal was agreed by the HKSAR, and the project of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge was first proposed by the HK government in 2003. Not to mentions, the project was negotiated by HKSAR, Macao SAR and the provinical government of Guangdong. The central governemnt had no involvment in this, except granting the approval. Also why the cost is higher for HK? To be honest, we don't know but it may due to the stronger economic strength of HK, since we are talking about the project in 2003 to 2007 where HK still had the upper hand fianically to other two parties.

Usually, Western whizzling quickly sizzle as their constituency has a memory of a primate. So, the US regime-friendly neofascist media will not be able to concentrate on this news, but will try to seek another flame-baiting and click-making title.

This works wonderfully in their chaotic domestic politics and social life, with people being divided along racial, class and political lines, and where parcel bombs are being sent like Christmas gift cards, but, this does not work in civilization nations like China or Russia.

Besides, it is a national project. From the larger picture, national benefit trumps all other details.

It is not like Toyota bribes California to do something that it cannot do in other US state. China is a central state, so, eventually, every major policy has to pass through the State Council in which all parts of Greater China is represented.
