Raheel Sharif is gaining some weight.

I think he should daily jog around the Parliament and Supreme Court buildings and dispaly his loyalty in democracy and rule of law in Pakistan.
Democracy by definition is not the rule of politicians but the rule of the people's will. The people of Pakistan love him and like to represent Pakistan around the world,so his foreign tours are as democratic as they get.
Also the people of pakistan love his "Interferance" in state matters and every matter, and by definition of democracy, since the people's wishes and concent is behind him,all of whet he does is by far more democratic than what politicians do. Most of the Pakistanis wouldnt like the "Paper chit reading Nawaz Sharif" to visit any country representing Pakistan as they feel embarrassed.

Ok I want to take Tylenol seeing your posts like a broken gramophone against Pakistan Army, are you sure you are displaying the correct flags? I want to learn something not like kids arguing over marbles or personal agendas against Army the main line of defense.

Looks good. Hopefully we can get some breakthroughs or normalize relations where they actually stop asking us to 'do more'.

Last time I checked we still had democracy and free speech, Calling a spade a spade is not broken record. Pakistan Army should defend the borders not dictate the foreign policy.

   :omghaha: a "General" is always seen as a "General", no matter who. He got a warm welcome because Pakistan's Army has been working with the US for the past 15 years very closely and has lost over 50,000 soldiers during this war with the terrorists.

Had it been another country's General, TRUST ME, you won't ever see the Defense Sec, or Sec of State meeting him. The Civilians like to meet with the Civilians. Not generals. So PLEASE, don't tell the world false propaganda like it's being spread by a few from the Pak military and from IK's party.

The real visit and the protocol was given to the democratically elected PM of Pakistan. The way it is and should be. And this second visit from RS was actually setup by NS, as he had mentioned many times he'll send RS to discuss operational details of high level things NS agreed on, from a policy and civilian backing's standpoint.

Pak Army has her own importance in the WOT. But don't consider your Army Chief's visit in a light that over shadows the PM of Pakistan. There are some who tried to use the ISPR recently for wrong purposes. Per Gen. RS, once he goes back, they will take care of the few who are spreading rumors of tension between Civil and Military, when there is none. Disagreements are a part of life and the Pak military and the Civil government are working very maturely together. And no, there was never a moment when RS took SSG's to the PM house and "a cup of tea" wasn't allowed to me made :omghaha:. Doing these stunts will bring many millions of civilians on the street, if one doesn't see the results of the elections. So no military can win from her own people. Its time that Pakistani military and civilians work together and make Pakistan a better, peaceful and a prosperous state. And the US would love to help as an ally during this important transition.

He's clearly doing it, in many ways. RS, unlike the previous paper tiger generals like Mushy, is altogether a different person. Pakistan needed RS like generals about 4-5 decades ago. But its never too late. He's actually very democratic and wants the civilians to do what they need to, and let them lead. India (during tension) is the ONLY thing that Pak Army takes over and runs all the way, due to obvious reasons.

American and western form of democracy suits where it belongs. the America and west. Pakistan and the east are different people and always a different form of government suits us.
While america has been busy imposing their form of government on country after country, breaking them apart and rendering them far more dysfunctional than they were when america did not poke their nose, the people of Pakistan rather have an army general rule them than some Politician who cant run the country.
From experience not theory,in Pakistan there is no comparison between the years of martial law and the so called democracy. Martial law has always been better.
No he is not seen as just a general, but a hero to which the people of pakistan can look up to and can trust. None of the politicians not even the prime minister is as popular among people of pakistan as general raheel, the americans know that and thats why the protocol.
If the americans had ignored him, they had pissed off the whole of pakistan, but if they had ignored Nawaz sharif, not many people had cared...smae as Bill clinton made him sit outside his office for 45 minutes for a 15 minute talk,in which he just bullied him and sent him back.
