If you mean US vs. Japan in WW2, then it was a one sided strike, and not a fair comparison. Otherwise, what example do you mean?

The only losers of a big nuclear war are the survivors. I'd rather be incinerated in the blink of eye, then deal with destruction, radiation poisoning, and nuclear winter of the aftermath.

Correct. Japan was dealing with the threat of being invading by the soviets as well and decided to submit to one power before being divided by two as in Germany.

This is the narrative that America tries so hard to suppress. Many independent experts believe that Japan was close to being defeated / surrendering anyway... yet they dropped nukes on dense civilian populations. Unbelievably cruel. Pure terrorism.
