hi guys,
(a purely conventional scenario)
i have heard many times that pakistan considers afghanistan its backyard..some say that pakistani strategic establishment thought/thinking was/is supposed that afghanistan enhances its strategic depth once india attacks (dismissing any role of nuclear weps here ,a purely conventional scenario )
i,e. taking into account of the indian conventional superiority it could cut pakistan in to two at its narrowest width by launching a rapid armoured assault.
as far as my understanding is concerned strategic depth can be simply explained as this.(in ww2) germany{poland}russia here poland was a buffer supposed to provide germany strategic depth atleast providing some warning once the russkies launched their attack
now
how can this be called a strategic depth in case of {afghanistan}pakistanIndia
