Thakurgaon, Nov 17 (bdnews24.com) The Border Security Force (BSF) of India snatched away a Bangladeshi cattle trader into their territory near Mondumala border of Baliadangi upazila in Thakurgaon early Saturday.
The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) indentified the youth as Shabbir Hossain, 23.
Baliadangi Police Station Officer in Charge Asaduzzaman told bdnews24.com Shabbir, the son of Rezaul Islam of Jugirhat village of the Upazila, had gone there to bring cattle.
Local said the BSF personnel held and took him to their territory from near pillar number 382/6 of Mondumala boarder.
BGB Thakurgaon Battalion Commander Lt Col Tauhidul Islam told bdnews24.com efforts were underway to bring Shabbir back. He said a letter had been sent to the BSF for a flag meeting in this regard.
