When I was a kid I used to think 69 in summer of 69 is the year 69. Then I was enlightened.

Directed by Steve Barron. This song written by Adams and Vallance, has become a classic. The sexual reference of "69" in the title has often been mistaken for the year, but nowhere in the song is there any reference to any particular time. It's a song about nostalgia and making love.
