@Talon

The British like their monarchy. Why are you complaining ?
they are brainwashed idiots. though there are equal number of britishers who hate the monarchy !!

Well, if people had just minded their own business about Saddam, Ghaddafi, Mubarak and now Assad and maybe also the Taliban...You know it was their country and completely in their handsIts completely in their hands....and british monarchy exists in name only, real power is executed by the parliment there, if we come to talk about abolishing monarchies you have to look toward middle east countries.

And yes British Monarchy is only ceremonial but why still have colonies in the 21st century and complain when other countries try the same? If you have some you have no rights at all to raise your voice against others but no...British poodle follows America so that America wont run the next bullet in Britain's head...
Dont know about England, but Wales and Scotland def coundnt give a crap about the Queen...Since I studied in Wales, I can tell the if the Queens bday wasnt a National holiday recognized by the country Wales couldnt be bothered about it...As for Scotland...Must I say more? Thats just home..One critical difference...the Brits themselves don't want the monarchy to end, unlike the examples you've cited. If Britain will veer towards civil war over their ceremonial monarchy, your stand will be justified.
Not forced prob lazy and are used to being recognized through it...As for the colonies, it's again not in the hands of the British monarchy. The colonies themselves do not want their association with Britain to end. Do you think Australia and New Zealand have been forced to incorporate the Union Jack into their flags?
Oh yea just 2 yrs ago the Queen's bank was :British monarchy is loved by majority of British people. Just their name and prestige brings millions of tourists into London to see the Buckingham Palace.
The Queen doesn't steal money from people and runs away to Saudi Arabia. PTI trolls should be more worried about the current King of Pakistan His Highness Nawaz Sharif Bin Khota.
Precisely. The Monarchy isn't forcing anyone to treat them as Royalty and as celebrities. The people of Britain and former colonies are doing that by their own volition. The same goes for any association with the Union too, and Scotland is a good example.Dont know about England, but Wales and Scotland def coundnt give a crap about the Queen...Since I studied in Wales, I can tell the if the Queens bday wasnt a National holiday recognized by the country Wales couldnt be bothered about it...As for Scotland...Must I say more? New Zealand to hold referendum on national flag
BBC News - New Zealand to hold referendum on national flag

PM Key ditches NZ flag referendum in 2014 , Australia to keep British Union Jack in flag: minister
WELLINGTON, NZ --- New Zealanders won't get a chance to vote to change the nation's flag this year.
Prime Minister John Key says there won't be a referendum on changing New Zealand's flag at September's general election, but if National is re-elected the public will have their say in the next parliamentary term.
Key raised the prospect of a referendum in January, saying he personally favoured changing the flag to a black one with a silver fern on it, but in a speech at Victoria University on Tuesday, he put it on hold.
Instead, he announced plans for a public discussion about the flag, which would kick off after the election.
A cross-party group of MPs would oversee the flag consideration process and recommend the best way to hold a referendum.
The cross-party group would also nominate New Zealanders from outside parliament to form a steering group responsible for ensuring public engagement.
“It's really important that consideration of a new flag includes genuine input from New Zealanders. All voices need an opportunity to be heard.
“A flag that unites all New Zealanders should be selected by all New Zealanders. This decision is bigger than party politics,” he said.
Key said he would like the referendum process to be completed during the next parliamentary term, so it does not intrude on the 2017 elections.
The Electoral Commission said earlier this year it would be very difficult to organise a referendum to coincide with the election - and at that time it wasn't expected to be held as early as September.
It would also cut short the time to debate whether there should be a change, and if so what the options would be.
Key had said there should be a simple option of keeping the current flag or changing to an alternative chosen by the government - but since he first raised the issue there's been opposition to that idea.
Surveys have shown most voters aren't keen on changing the flag, and a strong majority don't think there should be only one alternative chosen by the government.
Meanwhile, Australian foreign minister Julie Bishop has reassured the British that Australia isn't about to ditch the Union Jack from the national flag.
Bishop on Tuesday was quizzed about the push by New Zealand prime minister John Key to change their flag to a black one with a silver fern.
“Believe it or not it (the flag) is not an issue that actually draws much attention in Australia,” Bishop told BBC radio.
“I believe we will stick with the flag. There's no great demand to change it and many Australians have fought and died under that flag, sadly.
“We have competed in Olympic Games under that flag and there's a sense of pride in it.”
Bishop is in the United Kingdom for the annual Australia-UK Ministerial (AUKMIN) meeting with her British counterpart William Hague and the defence ministers of both countries.
The foreign minister noted the Australian flag contained the Southern Cross which was “very Australian”.
She concluded Australia would keep the current flag and Queen "for the time being most certainly".
Sounds like Key wants another term?
And Australia is just playing partners with UK

1stly, why not step down...Why declare yourself as head of the church and the country?Precisely. The Monarchy isn't forcing anyone to treat them as Royalty and as celebrities. Who cares about the Brits and their king or queen. We have enough chamchas in our own countries stealing from us
1stly, why not step down...Why declare yourself as head of the church and the country?
There are currently twelve (12) sovereign monarchies in Europe: the Principality of Andorra, the Kingdom of Belgium, the Kingdom of Denmark, the Principality of Liechtenstein, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Principality of Monaco, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Kingdom of Norway, the Kingdom of Spain, the Kingdom of Sweden, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the State of the Vatican City. Ten of these are states where the head of state (a monarch) inheritshis or her office, and usually keeps it for life or until they abdicate. As for the other two: in the Vatican City (an elective monarchy, styled as an absolutetheocracy), the head of state, the Sovereign (who is a Pope), is elected at the papal conclave, while in Andorra (technically a semi-elective diarchy), the joint heads of state are the elected President of France and the Bishop of Urgell, appointed by the Pope.
You see they demand some form of royalty...when being citizen you have royalty to the crown than the state...which is not the case with other European countries...They dont demand it is understatement of the century!
As for Scotland...every now and then they claim to declare independence but not until the EU takes them in they dont have support...So either drop their influence on EU and let Scots choose the not forced monarchy or admit they force...which will it be?
