British India's Massive Effort during World War 2

We all seem to discuss the south asian military only in the last 6o years. As if the military did not exist in this part of the world before 1947.

I want to post some startling facts of how massive a role the Greater Indian nation played in the 2nd world war.

The Indian Army took part in fighting in Europe and in Africa and indian pilots flew in the battrle of britain.

It was not our war. We shouldn't have fought in WW1 or 2. That would have brought down the british empire much sooner.

By 1945 there where 2.5 million.
