Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua summoned the British High Commissioner in Pakistan Thomas Drew on Friday over slogans being displayed on London cabs "that directly attack Pakistan's territorial integrity and sovereignty."

According to a statement released by the Foreign Office, "the high commissioner was informed that Pakistan, in line with the UN Charter, rejects actions and advertisements with malicious content that impinge on our sovereignty and territorial integrity."

It said that the "issue was also being raised with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office by our High Commissioner in London."

"Pakistan is aware of the intentions of such sinister and malicious campaigns, which should not be allowed on the soil of a friendly country," the FO statement read.

According to media reports, posters reading "Free Balochistan" slogans also appeared on vehicles in London.

A similar campaign in Geneva around the time of the UN General Assembly meeting had irked Pakistan earlier this year. "Any notion of 'Free Baluchistan' is a flagrant attack on [the] sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan," Pakistan's permanent representative to UN had written to Swiss authorities.

He had linked the posters to the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), which, he said, is a "listed terrorist organisation under the laws of Pakistan and other countries, including the United Kingdom."

How can the UK High Commissioner in Pakistan limit freedom of expression in London?

.
It’s not freedom of expression
Otherwise there are a lot of free expression which are not tolerated in uk as well

.
British sponsored terrorism in Pakistan must be stopped.

The people of Pakistan demand that dual nationality be scrapped.

Pakistan is making a fool of themselves all over again. Failed with the Swiss, now they will fail with the Brits. Just because you don't like something doesn't merit a diplomatic response. Makes you look petty.

Please cite UK law this campaign violated. Otherwise, this is just a case of sour grapes.

dafa ho. Don't lat mar in our rozi bro. We're not here for the weather.

Dual nationality should be scrapped simply because anything good you lots do over there is 'British' and anything bad suddenly becomes 'Pakistanis'.

This is the main reason why its for UK's own good that it should scrap the dual nationality.

Otherwise in a few years Britain will be listed as a major transporter of extremist and terrorist and as an island you barely can afford that specially given geo strategic positioning of other major players in the region.

I think the reasons such steps are taken have more to do with placating the internal audience, no matter how it makes Pakistan look internationally.

I can see the logic in this, but what happens when the Swiss and Brits say no? What will internal audience do then? It's not like these places haven't had anti-Pakistan or pro-Balochistan protests before.

Pakistan designated the Balochistan Liberation Army as a terrorist organisation on 7 April 2006 after the group conducted a series of attacks targeting security personnel.[28] On 17 July 2006, the British government followed suit, listing the BLA as a "proscribed group" based on the Terrorism Act 2000,[29] although the U.K. has harboured Hyrbyair Marri, leader of the BLA, as a refugee, something Pakistani leaderRaheel Sharif has strongly protested against.[30] The group's actions have been described as terrorism by the United States Department of State.[31]

That campaign is run by none other than indian sponsored BLA terrorist organization. So, Hamara kutta kutta, tumhara kutta tommy.

No it should remain because when i need to get out of the country in a hurry, it's useful to have two passports.... LOL

Don't be so sensitive about our identity. Pakistan is burning due to the leaders and awam of Pakistan, our camp fire all the way over here shouldn't be a concern. Also this drama of "British extremists" is all government made. I've heard this bakwas for 20 years now.

They will move on to some other self-manufactured outrage while the world passes them by. That is what happens.

Britain should stop supporting terrorism in other countries because what goes around comes around, it will come back to bite you.

exactly this is the reason why i want it scrapped.

Pakistan is not going to play home to rapist, terrorists and extremists from the outside. We have enough freaks already as well in the country.

This is rather a national security issue for Pakistan and thus to be taken seriously.

Any one has pic of posters that were displayed??
