Aafia Siddiqui is not as innocent as she proclaims nor is she dangerous as her enemies make her out to be. The best I can say about her is that she's an enigma.

Her story is so sordid and strange, it's hard to take is seriously. She is a neuroscientist with a Ph.D. Somehow she got radicalized by jihadis. She divorced her first husband and took their three children to Pakistan. She was alleged to have been kidnapped, and her children held. Yet she somehow ended up in Afghanistan, threatening to kill an American.

She was extradited, charged, and put on trial. Even during the trial, she exhibited strange behavior.

I think she is suffering from severe mental trauma and should be treated as such. I think she should be released on humanitarian grounds.

While I know better than to trust the narrative peddled by Western MSM, that chick definitely had a screw loose.

Divorced her level-headed husband, married an Afghan terrorist, got divorced by that terrorist, went to Afghanistan with her children, got caught by Afghan police with a bag full of toxins and literature on chemical warfare. Oh, and she also bought tactical gear while with her first husband in the U.S for quote/unquote "hunting."

That much I can agree with.

However, I don't think she attacked the Yanks with a freaking M4 assault rifle snatched from a marine! That's just some bullsh!t made-up by CIA or whatever to clip her wings and shove her in a U.S prison till eternity.

She may have contributed to the fight against America. But when other Guantanamo Bay prisoners have been released, why isn't she being released even when the case against her is just of firing a weapon against american marine? It is an international human rights case of a woman who is mentally not fit and should be released on this ground alone. If Pakistan does not want to keep her, let her settle down in a European country or Malaysia/Indonesia.

It’s sound like, She was captured in 2003, CIA told her to cooperate and let her lose to help track other high level AQ folks. After getting released, she most probably changed her mind and stop cooperating. she was picked up by ISI in 2008 and was handed her over to CIA.
