If the politicians actually practice what they preach, and let democracy continue instead of trying to get the incumbent government dismissed through the military or what have you, the PPP still has four and a half years to turn things around.

At the end of the day, it will be the conditions prevailing in Pakistan come election time that will determine who 'wins'.

I say NS is going to become a champion of teh Taliban and take over the mantle of Taliban appeaser from the JI and Imran Khan.

The PPP will not be able to counter that without showing real progress against the Taliban and the economy, especially inflation.

PML-N parts ways with ruling coalition
Updated at: 1850 PST, Monday, August 25, 2008
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Nawaz Sharif has formally announced to part ways with the ruling coalition led by Pakistan Peoples Party.

Flanked by Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Justice (Retd.) Justice (R) Saeeduzzaman Siddiqui, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Raja Zafar-ul-Haq and other PML-N leaders, Sharif made the announcement while addressing a jam-packed news conference here on Monday.

“After thorough deliberations and keeping all the recent developments into view the party (PML-N) has decided to separate with the ruling coalition,” Nawaz Sharif announced.

Nawaz Sharif said PML-N has also decided to field Justice (R) Saeeduzzaman Siddiqui as its candidate for the office of president.

He said his party had also decided to sit on opposition benches in the National Assembly.

PML-N Chief also showed the copy of the agreement made with the PPP outlining the steps regarding the impeachment of the president and restoration of the judges.

well said! the govt has declared the pakistani taleban as illegal and have rejected the uni-lateral offer of cease-fire. i think now the WoT in the FATA is going in the decisive stage.

PML-Q and PPP should join hands. But i doubt that PML-Q will involve itself with a drowning ship. PML-Q is waiting for something better, but PML-N break away is going to hurt them.

PPP on the other hand is going to lose votes.

WOW.....Yes, I'm so happy.

MQM might try to join with PPP, because earlier Altaf Hussain suggested Zardari to the president's post. I also wonder what Imran Khan will do now.:pakistan::pakistan::pakistan:

Lahore, Aug 25 (ANI): Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Nawaz Sharif has consulted with renowned lawyer Farooq Ahsan and other senior members of legal fraternity on the eligibility of Pakistan People's Party co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari.

Barrister Farooq Ahsan told Geo News that PML-N leaders consulted him on the issue of Zardari's refusal to implement written agreements and Swiss case.

He said Zardari's eligibility could be challenged on the issues of Swiss case and refusal to implement agreements.

Answering a question, he said PML-Q's forward bloc could continue its support for PML-N.

He held separate meetings with PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in this regard while Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khosa was also present on the occasion.

Chairman of Human Rights Commission Asma Jehangir has also held a meeting with Nawaz Sharif. (ANI)

Disgracing our great Nation.:hitwall:

Dear dabong1, sir...

I, would like to differ with you sir, round 1 NS lost, because it was AZ , who was trying and was in contact with CIA+USAs adminstration. and also it was him who, made MR, BUSH agrred to let MUSHARAF go out from the post of president.
I, dont see any real efforts by NS, he was just roaming around near AZ, asumming AZ, will fall to him. because of lack of experiance.
Also, NS was over confident watching his populartiy graph going up in GEO TV. actully AZ proved himself , that he out classed NS in this new circle of selfish pakistani politics?
:tsk::disagree::lol:
