Years ago, a friend of mine told me how casualties has always been favouring the Army’s PR. Had IK completed his five years, we would have seen a process of democratic stability and these influencers going back to their barracks. It’s not just some Bajwa from Pattoki but the whole institution that benefits from democratic instability. No wonder it’s a state within a state. But I hope they fail badly and the leadership hanged publicly.

Think about it .... Their children are all overseas and identify as British American etc. Their wealth is all overseas and their Multimillion dollar houses are in London. Why in the world would they care about Pakistan?... Does the French British American presidents have houses in Pakistan?

Even in Pakistan they live in their own world. When you take more than 15% of your budget for an army of a million in a population of 220 million, the per capita is extremely high. This armed real estate mafia doesn’t even accept load shedding like normal Pakistanis. We pay the same bills but every cantonment these days is not seeing any load shedding at all. And they say it’s for security reasons, imagine being so worried about your own security, what about those you have sworn to protect? Won’t they feel insecure knowing how insecure their protectors are. And yes, a chunk of this budget go into defence procurements before anyone attacks me or send a black Vigo my way, but the remaining is still significantly higher than what an average Pakistani gets.
