oh no they gave up on that idea long time ago... Musharraf had his faults but he was still an anomaly compared to these passive generals. Ik needs to be straightforward with them and snatch the power from them... that is the only way Pakistan can progress!

Even in Pakistan they live in their own world. When you take more than 15% of your budget for an army of a million in a population of 220 million, the per capita is extremely high. This armed real estate mafia doesn’t even accept load shedding like normal Pakistanis. We pay the same bills but every cantonment these days is not seeing any load shedding at all. And they say it’s for security reasons, imagine being so worried about your own security, what about those you have sworn to protect? Won’t they feel insecure knowing how insecure their protectors are. And yes, a chunk of this budget go into defence procurements before anyone attacks me or send a black Vigo my way, but the remaining is still significantly higher than what an average Pakistani gets.

Objection. It is definitely less than 15% of budget and this amount includes pensions for retired soldiers. Real defence budget was 8.78 Billion USD in year 21-22. Budget is not too high. India has a budget of 70 Billion USD. The salaries of armed men aren't too high, they are very reasonable. However they are showered with plots when they get promotion. They do get deductions for it. But the deductions don't make up for the price of the plot. Army occupies a lot of land of the country and they keep distributing that land to others for extremely cheap. Now one can make some valid arguments in defence of that. And I do believe that my army men should live a comfortable life and hopefully should be well off enough not to easily become traitors or sell sensitive information etc. Your argument is invalid the way it has been put. I do support transparency and audit of military's working. Baseless allegations are not the same thing. The institution works and looks after its people, other organisations should too. However undue advantages shouldn't be there.

Although id say, being a military brat is a real thing. They do have a disconnect with rest of the country. And I do believe beyond Brigadier ranks, they mostly have money on their mind. They become more inclined towards golf courses and leisure life than staying down to earth.

It has to be at a level which allows minimum deterrence against India. If that money is used well, no issues. Corruption, unconstitutional actions and rouge behaviour is objectionable. Country's defence is not objectionable.

Its the same thing as computers. Once it crashes you wish you had made some more back up. But once you do make all the back up, it never crashes.

Nukes are a suicide mission. War still relies on conventional warfare balance if both sides have nukes.

this is not correct- they have been testing us every other year with navy, air, infantry - you cant nuke after balokot?

you cant fight conventional war with India.. not with this economy. Its impossible to do. They are testing cuz they know we will keep on spending and basically bankrupts ourselves without the Indians doing much.... their economy is growing rapidly. They will have more and more money top spend. In 20 years maybe even 10 they will be gone a lot forward than us .....Economy is the main game here. They will never fight a war doesn`t matter how much vile they are, they are growing and war only slows down an economy!

I know this is the case for PPP and PMLN leadership, but is it also true for the army? If so, what can we do about it? I mean a lot of Pakistanis have to leave Pakistan because they have created such a shit country that it's tough to live there... But no matter where we go, we are Pakistanis still. It pisses me off, I wish IK was more ruthless and killed all these snakes.

My family is mostly in the army (mothers side)... I can't say but we have family members in the highest officer leadership and I guarantee you each and every one of them has Children living in the USA and after retirement live here in US and also have homes in Defence and travel back and forth.
