I believe the numbers have been under- reported. GOI said 15 people were killed, apparently it was more than 100. Unsurprising, too heavy a deployment for only 15.

The MOD confirms 20 dead, as in verifiable bodies, plus another 18 seriously wounded and 10-15 lightly wounded. This number is cross verified with guncam and drone footage and hence is the most verifiable number.
However, the MHA, which basically means the IB in this case believes 38-50 EKIA, from the radio intercepts. The number 100 is also from this radio intercept, but that is the total number unaccounted for by the militants at that time. Many scattered during the gun run by the Mi35.

What army claimed is they executed a strike on enemy camps along Indo-Myanmar border. This crappy media made it into deep penetration etc. So the Myanmar guys dint want to look incompetent obviously hence an unofficial denying statement. But officially they have not commented neither GOI or army. Anyways when you look at it from a security perspective terrorists have been killed and it was a very successful mission. But propaganda wise it is LOL. Leave it to the Inidan media. haha. The army or GOI has not released any photos or any further details except the overview of the ops. Whatever else you saw till now on public domian is the work of Indian media.

Edit: When this news broke there was a Bdesh news source also reporting about helicopters heading towards Myanmar. And this is not the first time an Op like this is happening, this is just the first time it has been an Overt op because it was along the border and not deep inside.
