NEW DELHI (BNS): BrahMos Aerospace will celebrate the 10th anniversary of first supersonic launch on 12th June, 2011.

The first successful launch of BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile had taken place on June 12, 2001.

To mark the grand occasion, BrahMos is organising a conference on Joint Ventures & Technology Collaborations in Defence.

Session 1: India-Russia Partnership: Achievements

BrahMos is a shining example of Indo-Russian military and technological cooperation. The joint effort has produced the world's most advanced supersonic cruise missile system - BRAHMOS.

Eminent dignitaries will discuss on the growing friendship and collaboration between India and Russia in defence and aerospace sector.

Session 2: Strategy for Collaborations

The seminar will deliberate on the ideas, scope, methods and strategies for successful collaborations and partnerships.

Session 3: Public-Private Partnerships and JVs

The final session will explore the scope of public-private partnerships and joint ventures. The participating members will share their insights on this sector.

The conference is an endeavour to bring together eminent dignitaries from defence and aerospace world who will also share their industry centric innovative strategies developed in their organisations over a period of time.

Their rich and insightful ideas and experiences will widen the scope of Joint Ventures & Technological Collaborations in the defence sphere.

The conference will be followed by a gala cultural night. Artists from India and Russia will give special performances to commemorate the grand event.

Virtuoso Ensemble "Maestro" from St. Petersburg will present a rich musical performance.

From the Indian side, classical dance programmes will be performed by Indian artists, which will showcase the vibrant colours of India.

Oh they must have included last session firing Brahmos 2.
4 land based prototypes are ready to test. A good news to be heard soon for us.

I wonder if any other missile can achieve this accuracy? But then it needn't have a near zero CEP if it has a nuke warhead!! :azn:

I think it was the most successful cruise missile except range(will be overcome by mki with air version of Brahmos) and only its brother will beat it.

Today marks ten years since the first launch of
the Indo-Russian BrahMos supersonic cruise
missile on 10 June 2001. Here's an interview of the
BrahMos CEO from two days ago. A seminar is
on at BrahMos headquarters right now on "Joint
Ventures and Technology Collaborations in
Defence Towards Realising World Class
Systems", which sadly, I won't be able to go for
because I've got to be in the studio.
