BENGALURU, June 23 (Reuters) - Boeing (BA.N) has announced a $100 million investment in infrastructure and programs to train pilots in India, according to a White House statement released on Thursday.

This comes on the heels of Air India signing firm orders of over 200 jets earlier this week from Boeing, which include 20 787 Dreamliners, 10 777Xs, and 190 737 MAX narrowbody aircraft.

The development also comes along with a flurry of deals signed by U.S. and Indian companies on the sidelines of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden in Washington on Thursday.

. . . .
Both of them are more or less the outcome of the same.

Gulf Airlines have ordered thousands yet no Airbus or Boeing.

Mostly because they poach pilots internationally, but requalifications and pilot-plane transfers still require training, India has a domestic workforce it can call upon and is looking to develop.

Boeing if rolling out an Istanbul campus also.

I understand what you're saying but sometimes it's easier to offer a lollipop and have induced demand. There's no doubt there were prior IndiGo and New Delhi conversations in bringing Boeing to India. But India's strength is guaranteed by it's untapped economy that's being streamlined by intricate policies across the board.

Edit: Why freely hand outgive $ when you can use it to demand something back? This is something the neighborhood doesn't understand, but 1 country does.
