There are some points;

I had warned some people before this subject in respect to a discussion took place at other thread a while ago. It seems Previous warnings didn't have much impact on them so They changed the strategy by opening a new acount to proceed the same behaviors. It means Related people/member prefered the way of trolling, insulting, threatening opponents with death, discrimination by polarizing the politic ground and insulting the common values of Turkish Republic to provoke the others in acc to gaining some kind of politic benefits, when He didn't find a proper argument to talk in respect to actual matter of this thread.

I need to remind some of you about our rules and forum culture in here. This forum is not a place you can talk bad/insult/label bad imputation about fore-father of Turkish Republic and his values but It seems Some of you constantly want to push limits of ethic and moral by violating/separating our common values with using different tactics. The members who came in Turkey defense section of this forum must know that Here is the place of technology and defence industry. There is no room for trolls or the members with bad mouth/intention so The members won't be allowed to insult eachother by using any reason but It seems our efforts/advices enter from one ear and exit from another one for someone. After this period, The people who can not join into constructive discussion in a civil way in politic subjects will be given a very strong penalty. The members who violate the same rules frequently will be directly given a thread-ban+ strong warning. The members who prefer the way of insulting the values of Turkish Republic to provake the members will stay away from this forum. Pax-Ottomana won't be allowed to type in this forum anymore.

And a note to everyone else here who think TSK is much more than the pride of a single officer. Yes, TSK is a very scared institution it is more than a single officer. But let me remind you that once upon a time, an officer who rose from the ranks in the army, transformed a collapsed empire into a modern republic: 1283 Harbiyeli Mustafa Kemal. He was just an officer too. And before 2013 when FETÖ started to purge admirals, you said it was just an officer too and see where we a

From counter terrorism achievements to the birth of MILGEM project that some of you are so fond to advertise in the name of someone else; are in fact attributed to few patriot admirals and generals. And majority of them were imprisoned by FETÖ when some of you again called that sick terrorist by the name of "hoca efendi" when those generals and the rest of us here were shouting to the entire nation that they are terrorists and this was a delibrate attempt to eradicate the Turkish Armed Forces.

This no different. Now I would like to address those saying "aren't there admirals left, they'll find someone". No they wont unless they paint a captain with admiral colors so that another admiral makes upper rear and replace him but still no admiral and it makes a difference. And unless you know how the navy works or how a military works, shut the F up and keep your ignorant political bias to yourself. Pardon my language here but I am literally sick of seeing Turkish Naval Forces getting attacked again, once again by FETÖ and once again we are shouting and once again no one gives a crap. Now, another issue, YES TSK doesnt like its personnel becoming too mediatic so might be the reason. But FETÖ exiles were writing that he was gonna get dusted since April and that for me is enough evidence that they were in on it. And it was completely political.

You should now that, since the Ergenekon/Balyoz trials, waaay before than coup attempts, due to the purges made by FETÖ, the Naval Forces started to experience a shortage on admirals. I am someone irrelavant, I mean I left the force in when, late 2012 but I left it as an officer cadet on his 4th year due to very terrorists whom I know are now in prison. But the thing is you can always find tons of people to replace me. You can always find officer cadets or LTs because they can be found and trained. Let me write in capital letters, BUT you can NOT always replace an admiral/general and in Turkish military, they can be instrumental for success as much as for failure just like any military. And in the case of Naval Forces. It will become even more crappy. Because as all the sudden "Keyboard Admirals and Blue Homeland experts" would know; the position previously occupied by Yaycı admiral, COS of Navy, is normally a three-star flag officer position (Vice Admiral), but he was appointed there when he was a Rear Admiral. The Fleet Command on the other hand is supposed to be occupied by a four-star flag officer, an Admiral, but instead it is led by a Vice Admiral now (3-star). You know why? Are these people so successful that they gave them more responsibility than they can weight?

NO. It is because, due to FETÖ the Naval Forces is still experiencing a shortage of admirals in a way that will indeed effect the force readiness and operational capabilities of the navy. IT TAKES ALMOST 30 YEARS+ TO PRODUCE AN ADMIRAL. If you don't believe me find and check the biography of former DZKK commanders. You will see to it that a very vast majority of them were Commander of the Fleet before becoming the Force Commander. And before the Fleet Command, they all took the post of Chief of Staff of the Navy. So you do the math on realizing by taking out the Number 2 of Navy, they also directly took out the future Fleet Commander and indirectly the future commander of DZKK.

Why? Because of an investigation. By whom? prosecutors in parallel with Defence Ministry's Board of Inspection. Why? Since they tied all the force commands to Ministry of National Defence and disbanded military judiciary; they tied all the internal investigations to Ministry's Board of Inspections which pretty much is now a civilian body and it is manipulated by politics as you can see. What's the investigation? Because he didn't let his officer be subjected to political pressure, by the company thanks to their political ties, on denying the very company to get his transaction who was supposed to deliver the navy fiber optic cables (for wires on torpedoes) but instead they were faulty and lost connection with the torpedo during an exercise.
I once again apologize for my language but I am sick of FETÖ attacking Navy again and people becoming so ignorant on the issue again, just like years ago.

Now, MR. EXPERTS,
Some of you would say that, there is always political pressure on tenders, its just a wire so what? DO YOU KNOW what happens when a torpedo looses its wire connection during or after launch? I won't spare my time to tell you that but basically depending on the situation, you might as well as end up with torpedoing your own *** or a civilian ship the moment enemy successfully evades the torpedo.

They decided to pay the company its money and carry on with the deliveries as long as they are fixed. But note this, a couple years from now on during a live fire exercise, which is also a very important diplomatic deterrent, when a live torpedo looses its wire connection (provided by the very same company) and we end up accidentally torpedoing one of our own assets and loose sailors. I know who to blame from top to bottom. But do you?

EDIT NOTE: I am neutral of Rear Admiral Yaycı's works on the region as I honestly don't follow the developments much to form an opinion. The above post is not a promotion or denial of his works or career but rather an institutional issue.

Exactly, one person alone can make a huge difference, it can be the difference success and failure and the consequenses would be huge looking at whats at stake.
You just gotta look at which people are happy about this situation to know what Turkey is about to loose, its almost like Turkey is repeating the previous decade again.

Hani gecmisini bilmeyen gelecekte var olmaza ne oldu?

When i first saw the news "Cihat Yaycı appointed to General Staff", first i thought that "OMG, Cihat Yaycı is our new General Staff. First time ever an Admiral happens to be the general staff, this would be great for our operations".....then i was like hold a minute. Is it time for YAŞ, Is Cihat Yaycı at the head of Navy.....then i understand and sadness came.

Brother, it is hard to explain to people what the Turkish officer means while they are putting the Turkish officer together with "Sallaries" and "Pension" in one sentence. They can't understand that the officer gives his best years in service to the country and there is no real pension. The service to the Turkish Nation no matter military or while civilian is for life.

They don't care for the Turkish Armed Forces as they are referring to the commanding officers as "your pashas". For them if the wire of the torpedo malfunctions it is no problem as long as their masters win money on the back of the deterrence of the Turkish Armed Forces.

People that insult the common value that kept the Turkish Nation surviving trough tough times can't understand what are you writing.

May God help us prevail over them. Stay safe!

The same mentality brought a system where rich dont have to serve while poor have to do the job completely destroying the legacy of a nation state by creating an environment of unfairness. In previous years everbody whether rich or poor was the same in military, these people destroyed it.

Military is the single most important institution in Turkey that his holding the nation together so no surprise that any traitrous entity will first attack this and try to undermine it by any possible means.
But Turkish military has seen a lot in its glorious history, it will also overcome these traitors, they are not the first ones after all.

Retired admiral Cem Gürdeniz explains the mistakes and symbolic values of removing Cihat Yayci.

In short the timing couldn't have been any more bad. IMO it's proof that politicians inkluding Hulusi Akar doesn't understand symbolic messages.
