I think you don't really get what he said.

Just because you show 1, ONE Uighur Player in National Chinese Team, does not mean or proof that China did not imprison million of Uighur. That's mutually unexclusive, as in both can happen at the same time. Same as just because American had a black president or some black are more well off than even white, that does not mean Black people are no discriminate upon or in general living in a lower standard than other ethnic group in the US.

There are not a single point to prove or disprove any of the western allegation by "Parading" the Uighur player on National Team.

On the other hand, it's another question altogether as to why Aussie Press need to report ANYTHING from Chinese National Team to begin with??

It does NOT prove or disprove all about "Xinjiang Lies", they raise the proof by showing you witness, if you want to disprove that, you need to show why these "witness" are not reliable or even lying, and showing 1 of their fellow Uighur in the national team does neither of that.

Is it clear enough for you? You want to disprove, open the border and let UN people inspect the situation, that can either prove or disprove the allegation, not put a Uighur in a National Basketball Team.
