A bomb has exploded outside the Punjab Assembly in Lahore, DawnNews reported on Monday.

The explosion took place on Mall Road, with reports of multiple injuries, added DawnNews.

Rescue services, including ambulances and fire tenders have reached the spot of the incident. The injured are being shifted to Mayo Hospital and Gangaram Hospital.

Security forces have cordoned off the area.

close to my house, a few hundred meters away, i was offering Maghrib prayer in Masjid when it happened. very sad indeed, no casualties reported yet, many injured, lets hope and pray no life is lost, it was expected to happen in lahore and security was on high alert in the past three weeks...the bastards have registered their existance and presence in our backyard, Gen Bajwa needs to be more proactive in finding out these scumbags and sanitize our society from this menace as THE GREAT GENERAL did before Gen Bajwa...
