An upsetting video of a beauty supply store owner punching a mother in the face is burning up social media.

The viral recording, which surfaced Monday, shows a man identified by police as Changseok Jun, owner of Jun’s Beauty Supply in Tulsa, Okla., punching the woman outside the store Sunday after her child pocketed a small item as the family was walking out the door.

The altercation was shot by an unknown witness and shared on social media, including by social activist Shaun King, who tweeted, “This is the 2nd time an Asian owner of a Black beauty supply shop has physically attacked a Black woman in the past week.”

Yahoo Lifestyle could not reach a representative at Jun’s Beauty Supply for comment.

Sergeant Shane Tuell of the Tulsa Police Department tells Yahoo Lifestyle that the attack occurred early Sunday evening when a small child, unbeknownst to his or her mother, took an item from the store without paying.

Generally Asians...East Asians that is...are very docile and don't talk much. However, some of them do need to take some classes in manners. One time at a Cinema, I was using my phone and this scrawny a$$ Asian hit me on the head very hard just to tell me not to use my phone. I literally turned around and was about to beat his arse---but he was with his old parents and they were a new family (barely spoke English). I didn't do anything but still, how mannerless you have to be to act like this in America?

To be fair....those Asians were South Koreans (same as the guy in the video). My experiences with Chinese have been better (Although they haggle for prices alot when it comes to prices and that was very annoying in my previous job but meh....whatever)

Side note: My experiences with Asian girls have been very positive. They are bubbly and always happy

These beauty supply stores are generally located in the predominantly black neighborhoods. This man better find a way to make mend with his customers, else he might lose a lot of business might or the store get burnt to the ground.

Normal behavior, the parent/s, upon realizing what their child has done, apologizes and returns the merchandise, the merchant graciously accepts returned merchandise, maybe both laugh about it cuz kids are grabby (especially if the merchant is a parent too). Things went very south on this very fast.

That... does not sound very Korean, particularly in front of one's elderly parents, it's unheard of (btw, how many grown men go see movies w/ elderly parents?). This guy either had serious issues to begin with, or you're making this event up.

And what you interpret as "meekness", Asians prize and cultivate as politeness. Go past that barrier of politeness, see how meek they remain (If you need examples, just look to history).

These foreign store owners don’t have any etiquette. I’m speaking mostly of immigrants from Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Ethiopians, Russians.

Why would I 'make up' stuff about Asians? If I was putting down indians, you could've said it (since Indo-Pak rivarly and all)....but what incentive would I have to invent crap about.....ASIANS?! You guys are extremely irrelevant for us, you do realize it right?

The only thing I could be wrong about is whether he was Korean or not. But my best bet would be Korean. Didn't look Chinese/Japanese/Vietnamese etc.

And he wasn't an "adult man" in pure sense of the word.....He was a college sophomore (Junior may be?) It happened a few years ago when I was still attending college here in the states.

And sorry but there is a difference between Meekness and Politeness. White girls are hella polite or even Indian-Pakistanis in the U.S----but they don't give out the sense of 'meekness' as often as Asians do. May be over politeness? Idk...whatever.
