Many urdu speaking muslims from north India took part in process that made pakistan.
I dont see how its fair to kick out the very people who spearheaded the agitation for separate homeland for muslims.
besides after all these days, is it not racism to call urdu speaking people to leave bangladesh?
He probably talking about the people who did not show allegiance to Bangladesh and still hold Pakistani citizenship.
Those who opted for Bangladeshi citizenship in 1972 had no problem whatsoever. In 2008 high court again gave blanket citizenship to the people who born or was minor in 1971.
But again its an optional offer and people have to take the citizenship by their own wish. Those who still wants to go back they should be repatriated instead of kicking out. I dont think there are too many left who really wants to go back, probably few hundreds who still gets monthly ration from government and dont want to loose that by accepting BD citizenship.
