Big win for Pakistan on #RekoDiq

In order to win that case, Pakistan government should have tried, convicted and jailed the corrupt government of that time and proven that the agreement was done by a corrupt government for personal gain.

Think about how much damage our old corrupt parties have done to Pakistan

Think about how much Imran Khan and PTI has to fix

Ridiculous!!!!! And we still have morons supporting PPP and PMLN

The original ruling was very unfair. Either the world bank grew a conscious or Washington intervened because of Pakistan's help on the Taliban peace talks. Very good for Pakistan. The gold copper reserves were valued any where from 300 Billion to 1 Trillion USD based on reports. With all this global currency debasement, the value will only go up.

This mine is strategically important for Pakistan, more than any oil or gas discovery could be. If Pakistan can stabilize its economy and keep even 100 Billion (in gold) in its foreign reserves from this mine, it can refinance its loans to a much much low interest rate and attract major FDI when its credit rating is upgraded to investment grade. Gold in foreign reserves is one commodity that turns heads amongst rating agencies.

Agreed mate, the country has been screwed over so much that it will be a miracle if things get better.

Baluchistan has this country's fate hidden either we say it at a stake or can change the fortune of the Nation.
for decades and decades there was no hope, CEPC and Gawadar in particular is going to change a lot and we can hope for a strong economy waiting for us.

what important is raising the living standard of the people of Baluchistan. without giving due share to these people will not bring harmony without which development is not workable. it was our criminal negligence which forced them play in the hands of our enemies and raise the arms,

I couldn’t agree more. We need a standard level of services through out the country, such that a citizen in Turbat or Taftan does not feel disadvantaged then a person living in Lahore or Pindi. I have seen the difference this makes first hand. A medical resident staying with me (native born white American) from a poor background and unmotivated, turned his life around when a surgeon saved his life from brain cancer. He is now a pediatric oncology surgeon, perhaps one of a handful in his entire state in America. He was motivated to take on the challenge and had the resources to try.

we may not have all the resources we would like, but we need to find a way to distribute them more equitably, to improve social harmony and bring out our top talent through a reinforced meritocratic system. Double blind selection process that ends nepotism and favors hard work and talent over connections and where someone was born.

If the nation can do this, I’m sure private donors will be willing to donate to libraries, science museums and scholarships. People will volunteer their time to teach, and if we can get to the level of women’s centers with built in day cares, we will be able to educate all of the people. A fully literate nation is possible in a few decades if we set the ball rolling with key reforms, and they start by equitable distribution of services and resources throughout the country and a strictly meritocratic system.

very true!
actually politics played a very dirty job in Baluchistan in the past. govts from Punjab or Sindh have their hands dirty in this.
and then our neighbor took it to another level, which we paid dearly.
army took initiative by recruiting baluchs to the army.
with CPEC we will have many opportunities and a lot which if granted justly to Baluchs, we will have them with us and they won't need to run to the mountain tops under provocations.

That’s 2-3x the GDP of Pakistan. I don’t believe in these sorts of outlandish claims. Most claims made by journalists without any scientific or objective data to backup the claims.
This might be the right claim but this is based on sales value only. To get this revenue you have to invest and sepnd regular cost. Furthermore, mineral extension is time taking exercize. For example, we are extracting sui gas for more than 50 years now.

Now divide this 500 billion even in 20 years and you will get 25 billion revenue per year. Which remains 8% of GDP on revenue side.

Pakistan in every affair : pehly her mamly ko ignore karo, planning to bilkul mat karo, jab masla bigar jaey, balkeh cancer ban jaey, tu uth ker khud bhi masly k pechy lag jao or pori qom ko bhi usky peechay lagado. Phir zara zara si improvement pe qom ko aisy khaber do jaisy Imam e Mehdi ka zahoor hogaya ho.
Qasam se, galian likhnay ka dil mera, logon k liay bhi keh kia bakrion ka rewarh hai, or hukumranon k liay keh kis level k harami hain, or bureaucrats k liay bhi, keh full ayashi main zindagi guzar rahi hai, or kisi ko kch pta nai chal raha kon responsible hai or kissy se mamlat k bary main sawal ho.
Aik haramipan ki dastan hai Jo bar bar repeat horai hai.
