LAHORE: Taliban and Al Qaeda leaders, including Osama Bin Laden, are hiding in Pakistan’s Tribal Areas, US Vice President Joe Biden said on Wednesday. “In the FATA ... that is a war on terror. That’s where Al Qaeda lives. That’s where Bin Laden is. That’s where the most radicalised part of the Taliban is,” Biden told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer. “The situation ... in other parts of the world, they aren’t all related to terror,” he said in response to a question if the Obama administration had stopped use of the phrase “global war on terror”. The vice president said the Obama administration was concerned that Al Qaeda had been able to reconstitute itself under the Bush administration in the mountain region on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan. “Up till now there has been no targeted policy that has as its goal the elimination of that element of extremism in the world directed at the United States of America,” he said. He said the Obama administration had ended a series of policies under the rubric of a global war on terror that made no sense and made the US weaker.

I think on the balance of probability....he was killed in action during the invasion of Afghanistan....when there was heavy air bombings on the 'tora bora' mountains/caves area. In addition, Bin Laden had a kidney problem and was said that he needed a kidney dialysis machine. The West just want to prop his name up, just to remind their public and to keep the WOT ongoing!

If Pakistani Foriegn minister didnt come out and refuted this allegation then i will assume that he is in FATA. I am not sure, is US testing Pakistan or challenging them to increase the rehtoric so an invasion can be planned?

Pakistani govt should answer these allegations.. these are serious charges

This statement is not important at all. It had to come and many similar ones will follow. But the important thing is the response of GoP.

Yes, it's the thing which will affect every strategy of West in the future. This is a problem, as well as an opportunity. Make GoP answer this in a best way for Pakistan. Don't just let it go and don't provide all the chance to West to control the every aspect of situation. Let them see that Pakistan also has a say and they can't take everything for granted.
